Let it Snow

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

They say there were a few snowflakes the other night.
I'm sad I missed them, but it can snow in the craft room.

I used an old embossing folder with a new snowflake die.

The die set is two pieces and each has an inner cut that can pop out for
more stacking.

This time I cut from Champagne Foil.

I also cut from white cardstock and smooshed in some DOX inks.

The background for this card is stamped and heaty embossed for a tiny bit
of texture and added interest.

  3. I prefer indoor snowflakes, Bonnie, especially when they are as gorgeous as these two. Bright and shiny in foil or soft and serene smooshed in blue. Either way your cards are lovely.

  4. I've always said these paper snowflakes are much prettier than the real ones, Bonnie - and one doesn't have to shovel them!
Beautiful in silver and champagne - I'm also loving your fabulous embossed snowflakes.

  5. Wow! That is some magnificent snowflake, Bon, and you've made two magnificent cards! That first snowflake could be put on a headband and you've got a crown! Fitting because you are the Queen of Snowflakes with this post and I love how you did both the focal ones and the backgrounds! Hugs, Dolly (p.s. Thanks for linking again to NBUS!)

  11. That snowflake just hit my wish list after seeing how you used it. It's gorgeous, Bonnie! I didn't realize it's 2 dies for stacking too. Love the soft sponging on the second one as well as the shine one on your first card. What fabulous cards!

  13. Both snowflake cards are so pretty Bonnie! I love the colors on both of them as well as your embossing folder on the first one. That is one pretty snowflake and I love that there is an inner part that can be used as well. We had a few flakes of the real thing too and I thought it was some grass plums blowing around in the wind until my step father told me it was snow! lol Sorry you missed your flakes. We haven't had any measurable snow yet! Look out March as that is when we can get some good snowfalls sometimes. Hugs, Brenda
