Stronger Together for Twofer

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's time for another Twofer Challenge!

This month's challenge is...

I've used some leaves from a Simon Says Stamp set that a sweet friend
gifted me.

For my first card I used 2 of the stamps, inking them and coloring with
Tombow markers and blending the color with a waterbrush.

I did a card front sized panel then cut this section out leaving an awesome frame
that hopefully you'll see at a later date.

To soften the background a bit, I've added a piece of vellum.  It's hard to tell
since it covers the whole card front.

A stacked die cut and some heat embossed strips take care of the sentiment and
I bravely added some splatters.

For my Twofer...

I used one of the leaf stamps from the first card and another from the set to
hold up the birdhouse.

I've inked and colored the leaves in the same way as the first card only using
Fall colors instead.  It seemed perfect for a Thanksgiving card.
Always good to have things done early!

We have two Guest Designers this month.  Be sure to check out what Alison
and Natalie and our awesome Design Team have done to inspire you.

I hope to see you Twofers in the gallery!

Butterfly Flourish

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I stamped this beautiful image and let it dry, then lightly added some
Distress Ink with a blending brush.

The butterfly was stamped again on a snippet of patterned paper from
my stash and fussy cut to add over the top. I did the same thing for the
butterfly body.  The antenna are bits of black twine.

I added some splatters and a couple of thin frames.

My mixed media are Paper Piecing, Stamping, Ink Blending, Splattering,
and Die Cutting.

Challenges:
CAS Mix Up - Paper Piecing
NBUS #25 - Never Before Used Schtuff

Easter Blessings

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Wishing you a joyous Easter!

He Lives

I serve a risen Savior,
He's in the world today;
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him
He's always near.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives
today!
He walks with me and He talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, He live, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within my heart.

In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
And tho my heart grows weary
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading
Thro' all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives
today!
He walks with me and He talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, He live, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within my heart.

Chicken Spots for CAS Mix Up

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up.

The lovely and very talented Linda is hosting this month and she's asking for...

I stamped on some old designer paper and tried to strategically place
the dots.  I found some other snippets of paper in orange and brown to cut
do the beak, wattle and branch.

Actually this is probably a rooster with a bleached out comb.
Artistic license in play here!
Whatever it is, I love the expression on his/her face and hope you
get a smile out of it too.

I've popped the chicken up and put it all on some textured paper that
I'd stenciled with chicken wire.

My mixed media are Paper Piecing, Stamping and Stenciling.

If you're not sure about the technique, there are some links to video
tutorials at CAS Mix Up.

Our amazing design team is joined this month by the very talented Bonnie (no not me).
Do check out what they've done and I hope to see your card in the gallery!

NBUS - Never Before Used Schtuff

Turning the Page April 2021

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Time to turn the page on our calendars to a new month.

I make calendars each year for my desk and my family.

I thought I'd set up a regular post on the last day of each month to share them.

I hope you enjoy my “Turning the Page” posts.

Here's our April page.

By the way, the calendars are clipped together and can be displayed on an easel
or hung on a push pin or magnetic hook.  We all have a different way to display them.

If you would like a word document with the calendar, email me (bonklass(at)gmail(dot)com.
and I will be glad to send it to you so you can design your own.

If your email address is not in your profile, I have no way to send this to you.

Email link is in my profile on the sidebar.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!
