Cardinal

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Today's card could be used for a winter birthday but I chose to make it
into a Christmas card.

I started with a piece of Grout Gray from MFT and stamped some leaves with
white pigment ink and heat embossed them.  Then I stamped the pine branches.
Any ink over the embossing wipes off with a paper towel.  A little script stamp in a
light gray added more interest to the background.

The cardinal was cut from Real Red cardstock and sponged with Cherry Cobbler
ink over the edges.  A Sharpie was used to color his bill.

I had some pine branches sitting out and popped one over the stamping and added
a berry branch too.  The bird fluttered over and landed on the branch.

Another one for my Christmas stash.

Challenges:
ABC Christmas - C is for Crimson
Christmas Kickstart #108 - Out of the woods
Jingle Belles - Christmas music (Joy to the World)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Forever Fern (SU), Pine (Inkadinkadoo), Christmas Sentiments (KC), Vintage Ephemera (W9)
Ink:   Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Going Gray, Cherry Cobbler, Morning Mist (VC)
Paper:   Grout Gray, Smokey Slate, Real Red
Other:  Small Cardinal Set (DD), Pine Bough die (Grtry), Winterberry Sprig die (MB), Tasteful Textile EF (SU)

Enjoy!

Santa and Rudolph

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I found this image already colored in the package when I was looking
for something else.

It made me think about the challenge at Peace on Earth.

So they went on a card after some cutting and trying this and that.

The sentiment was cut from the Memory Box Twiggy Alphabet.
I thought I had a Ho ho, ho die, but can't put my hands on it.

Challenges:
Peace on Earth #107 - Inspired by the reindeer
Jingle Belles - Red (I hope there's enough red on this)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Christmas Selfies (MFT)
Ink:   Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Real Red
Other:  Copics, Circle Dies, Pinewood Planks EF (SU), Twiggy Alphabet dies (MB)

Enjoy!

Recycled Christmas Tags

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's not too soon to start on the 2026 Christmas cards!

And these tags were too pretty to sit in the wrapping box all year.

I'm not sure of all the supplies since the tags were made by friends.

And one more....

All the tags were popped onto an embossed background.

Easy peasy!

The Snow Notes Tour

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

The Snow Notes are at it again.  They're on tour and singing their
hearts out to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I spent so much time with these guys that I feel like I should name them. LOL.

Each one uses a piece of decorative paper in the background.

and look at what my friend Jan did for a Christmas present for another friend.
It's in a shadow box so there's lots of texture and dimension.

See that little guy with the snowballs?  She finished it off with a snowball splatted on the tree
and a stack of snowballs ready to be thrown.  Didn't she do a great job?

Challenges:
Christmas Kickstart #105 - Something Christmasy
Double D - Santa or Snowman
Jingle Belles - Anything Christmas

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Simple Strips Christmas (TE)
Ink:   Encore Gold
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Scrapbook Customs Christmas Watercolor

Noel Trio

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

These three hadn't made an appearance yet this year.

I thought they would work well with Linda's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

I stamped each one with Copic friendly ink and colored them with Copics sticking to mainly
browns to honor all those LBJs (Little Brown Jobs) that feed in our yard.

They are perched on a holly branch and welcoming some snow.

Some homemade Flower Soft, made by rubbing two Styrofoam balls together, added
some fluff to their caps.

Challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches #710 - Sketch by Linda
Jingle Belles - Dashing Through the Snow
Penny Black Saturday  - ATG using Penny Black

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Winter Wonderland (PB), Many Merry Messages (ret SU)
Ink:   Memento Tuxedo Black

Other:  Kars Snowflake EF (ret CB), Holly Vine die (ret MB), Copics (E01, E11, E33, E23, E25, G24, Gr6, R29, R37), White Gel Pen

Vintage Christmas

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I was inspired by Susan's card and how she stamped on patterned paper.

I stamped the sentiment but die cut the sleigh.

I added a bit of inking on the edges of this patterned paper to match the top
of the sheet.  I also inked the edges of the card base.

All in all it was a quick and easy card.

The Christmas card stash is growing.

Challenges:
Jingle Belles - Christmas past-vintage
Peace on Earth - See Image below
I.D.E.A.S. - Anything goes week

Card Recipe
Stamps:  In the Meadow (PTI)
Ink:   Memento Tuxedo Black, Frayed Burlap (DI)
Paper:   Neenah Natural, Patterned Paper (?), Black

A Sketchy Christmas

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

When I saw the sketch at Jingle Belles, I thought of this set of
Ephemera and patterned paper that I bought several years ago.

I am so bad about using my patterned paper but this time, I made myself cut into it!

The bauble was from a matching ephemera set.  It has a beautiful sheen to it.
I would love a bauble like this to put on my tree.

Challenges:
Jingle Belles - Sketch
Peace on Earth - See the deer on the mood board?
Love Those Pretty Papers - ATG using decorative paper. Did not use the Summer option

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Simple Strips Christmas (TE)
Ink:   Real Red
Paper:   Neenah Natural, Winter Valley DP (Stamperia), Real Re
Other:  Winter Valley Ephemera (Samperia), Simple Strips Die (TE), Whimsy Bloom Bouquet (AS), Stitched Deckle Die (Unity)

Noel Wreath

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Here's another Christmas card from my UFO box.

The grapevine wreath was in the box and I did what I do with the wreath on the door
when the seasons change.  You can add anything you want (or what's punched or die cut
in the bits boxes) and change the whole look.

This time it's finished off with pine and holly with a poinsettia added in.

A bird cut from gold foil and then embossed and a big red bow added some
more color and elegance.

The foiled Noel looks a bit off, but my Glimmer Machine doesn't work the best
and it could be off due to the shine that the camera doesn't like.

I'm adding this to a new to me challenge where my friend Nance is guesting for
the next several weeks.

Challenges:
AAA Colourful #10 - Reds, Greens and Gold
Just Us Girls #754 - Mood Board - See that wreath?
Jingle Belles - CASE their Banner

Card Recipe
Stamps:
Ink:
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Shaded Spruce (SU)
Other:  Nordic Frames (Grty), Funky Wreaths (TH), Holiday Blooms (Spl), Fit to be Tied (Grty), Birds (IO), Perfect Sentiments Holiday Foil Plate (PFS), Gold Foil

Enjoy!

Gingerbread Bouquet

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm squeaking in at the last minute with this card.

Gingerbread is a staple for our Cookie Day and this gingerbread man stamp
and die is always among my Christmas cards.

The bouquet is new and I had fun coloring and arranging all the pieces.

I stamped the edging with white pigment ink and heat embossed, then used a
stencil to add some cracks in the cookie.

The enamel buttons and black dots were in my stash.  All of the greenery and
candy canes were cut from white Neenah and inked up with finger daubers.

A pierced cover plate provided the background.

Added to add.  I don't need to decide whether to eat the head or feet first.  I claim
all the broken pieces (on the real thing, not the paper version).

Challenges:
Peace on Earth #75 - Inspired by the gingerbread on mood board below
Jingle Belles - Christmas Feast
NBUS #68 - Never Before Used Schtuff ( Spellbinders Dies)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Gingerbread Boy (Rubber Cottage), BP Plate Merry & Bright Sentiments (foiled)
Ink:   Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Real Red
Paper:   Kraft, Neenah Solar White
Other:  Gingerbread Boy Die (RC), White EP, Textured Peeled Paint Stencil (MB), Christmas Bird Poinsettia Dies (SB), Pinpoint Snowflake Plate (MB), Glimmer Machine, Gold Foil

Enjoy!
