This is a card I did for a watercolor class a while back.
I'm pretty sure I never posted it here.
When it was dry, I stamped the flower stem with green and then the blossom
with Whisper White and heat embossed.
A swipe down the stem with an Aqua Painter gives the stem that watercolor look.
Addicted to Stamps Challenge is having an
ANYTHING GOES Week.
We've had some new visitors in our yard.
DH gave me a hummingbird feeder for our anniversary.
Some hummers finally found it.
I was on my way out the door when this guy landed in the dogwood tree over the feeder.
I never would have spotted him/her if I hadn't seen him/her fly up there.
He's (or she) so tiny!
And DD#3 got this photo outside her work building last Friday.
She said it was quite large. As near as I can find, it's an Imperial Moth.
God's creations never cease to amaze me!
Thanks for the visit.
Enjoy!

love the simplicity along with the bright color in your card Bonnie - and love seeing the hummingbird and moth - God put gorgeous color on them too!
Love the bright colours in your card Bonnie. Super photos too!
This card looks so artsy! Love the colors and the simplicity! Gorgeous shots of the hummingbird and the moth!
Love that watercoloring. I went over and watched Kylie's video. I am definitely putting that on my list of techniques to try.
My, my...a beautiful design. Really like the way you've done the blazing colors, then overstamped this pretty flower stem. You know I will be CASE-ing this one! You never cease to amaze me with your watercolor skills, and the layouts. Loved the tiny hummer. It's a different color from those we see here. Unusual flutterby too. Some great photos! TFS & Hugs
Oh Bonnie thanks for sharing this link to Kylie. I've tried smooshing several times and can't seem to get the hang of it. Your card is so gorgeous that I will try this method. I wish you were coming up with Mary, it would be delightful to meet you too. It amazes me how the birds find the feeders. Your hummingbird has visited once and hopefully he will come every day now.
Oh Bonnie this is one stunning card. Love the background and cannot help wondering what this would look like with Brushos. That flower is just perfect on here.
Gorgeous.
Cute hummer and moth.
Hugs

Bonnie your card is Gorgeous! I think I know the block technique you used but I will click on your link. Your colors are stunning!
You will love the feeder. When I fill mine up they are there in less than 2 minutes sometimes there are 5 or more birds at once , enjoy! Your DD picture is beautiful!
Stunning card Bonnie, love that vibrant background colour!! Thanks for sharing those beautiful creatures.
Blessings

Gorgeous card Bonnie. LOVE the bright colour of your acrylic block background --- so pretty! And I love the simple flower ... great idea to add a bit of water to the stems. xx
Beautiful vibrant card, love it. As for the bird and butterfly, you are so lucky to have these in your garden
Hello Bonnie: I've seen this technique before but never tried it, I think it's amazing and it really gives the effect of a beautiful water color background. Your card is lovely, those bright and rich colors look amazing as a background for your pretty flower.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Maria.
This just jumped out at me from a challenge gallery. Love the bright, vivid colors, and the way the white just pops on it.
I don't think the technique well will ever go dry. This looks like a really good one to try. Your card is very attractive!

Your card is BEE-YEW-TEE-FULL! Such vivid colors! I was ready for you to tell me that was made with Brushos, since everyone is all about them lately. But kudos to you for getting the vivid watercolors! Love it! Great nature photographs too. That moth could easily be mistaken for a fall leaf!
Gorgeous card, Bonnie! Your water colored background is stunning...such a pretty color combo, too! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at ATSM!
Bonnie, I love this card - such vibrant colours and such a beautifully done flower. So glad you have a hummingbird feeder and they've found it - I have one and I love watching those adorable little birds.
Bonnie, your watercolour card is stunning and just love the background you created. Such a beautiful CAS design too. How fabulous to have some Hummingbirds. We don't have them here in New Zealand, would love to see one in real life. And that moth is extraordinary! When I was about 9yrs old, we had a paddock beside our house and I found a huge, fat caterpillar with a thick red horn sticking out from its backside. It was such a rare find I ended up on the front page of the local paper. It came from some tropical island miles away but I will never forget it. Your right, nature is pretty fantastic!! Sorry, got off track and didn't thank you for joining us at ATSM this week!
I was at your class when we made this card...first time I tried acrylic block stamping. Have made similar versions many times. Such a great yet simple design and easy to make. Thank you!
JosieD.
This pretty and delicate flower and stem are shown up beautifully against that bright and zingy background Bonnie. A wonderful arty piece. x
I love the red background showing off the white flower buds, Bonnie, and swiping the stem was a brilliant idea. I never cease to be amazed at God's creations and I thank you for sharing the photos. My hummingbird feeder was a bust so I'm searching for a better one. Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us at ATSM this week.
I love doing that technique, but wow, this card is one of the best I've ever seen, Bonnie! It's stunning! I'm so delighted that you got a hummer feeder from Bruce and now you are going to be addicted to them like I am! They never stop being fascinating! I was gobsmacked by that awesome moth, too! TFS!! Enjoy your day! Hugs, Darnell
Oh wow--my jaw dropped when I saw this card, Bonnie--Wonderfully crafted! We've had a hummer lately & I don't even have a feeder! Can't miss the sound of them flying by--love it!
