I hope you are enjoying warm weather and pretty flowers...
and maybe a butterfly or two!
Using Rubber Band Stamping, Heat Embossing, Sponging (Emboss Resist), Stamping and Die Cuts
This card makes me smile!
CAS Mix Up this month is hosted by Julia.
We have some great video tutorial links at the challenge site as well as
wonderful inspiration from our Design Team!
We are joined this month by the very talented Hideko.
For this card, I masked off a section and used VersaMark to ink
my rubber band covered wooden block and heat embossed
with white embossing powder.
I used Distress Ink to sponge some color over the embossing then removed
any ink from the embossed lines with a piece of paper towel.
To add emphasis to the design, I scored the length of each edge.
A black die cut butterfly with a vellum backing and sentiment finishes this off.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Your card is wonderful Bonnie and made me smile too x The blending is so pretty over the white heat embossing of that fun rubber band technique. The black butterfly over the vellum is gorgeous and the script just perfect for your perfectly CAS and mixed media card x
This card makes me smile too! :) LOVE the bright colours and the beautiful design with your layered butterfly. xx
Love the pretty yellow and the black butterfly is the perfect accent. Beautiful card, Bonnie.
Gorgeous card Bonnie, love the warm yellows and your pretty butterfly, Cathy x
A very cool border design, almost a one layer! The score lines add a lot of dimension, and I love the yellow tones with the black butterfly. The sunny color is most welcome to see on a rainy, dreary day here at my house! TFS & Hugs
This is a very happy CAS card, Bonnie! I love that you added Worn Lipstick to the yellow sponged background. It adds depth and interest. The white heat-embossed rubber band lines make a great background for the butterfly. Adding the score lines to the panel edges gives a complete feeling to the card. Hideko xx
The first thing that popped in my mind seeing this card is how clean and bright it is- SO cheerful! Reminds me of spring that has not yet arrived here. Love the bright color and the clean and elegant design, Bonnie.
Wow - LOVE that yellow strip with the embossed rubber band lines Bonnie - and that die cut butterfly is so delicate and beautiful! A wonderful card! Julia xx
we are still suffering cloud and rain so this bright cheery card is so up lifting. Love it :)

So beautiful, Bonnie! Those DI colours and your sponging are fabulous. The delicate butterfly is the perfect finishing touch for this spring-like card. Love it! xx
Such a Sunny card. I truly like the clean lines you've achieved with the rubber band technique and the scoring perfectly frames the sponging. The delicate black butterfly die cut along with the black sentiment gives it a beautiful elegance. Love it, xx
delightful card Bonnie... I really love the warm, sunny colour and the elastics give such a great look to a bkg.

No Spring here yet but I love seeing it on your gorgeous card, Bonnie.
A beautiful bold brightly coloured card here Bonnie. Love the rubber band result and great idea to score each side of the background. Stunning black butterfly and love the soft effect from the vellum backing.
Wonderful cheerful colours - a great contrast with the black butterfly! And fabulous use of the rubber band technique!
An amazing contrast for this butterfly. I love your colorful panel, it is perfect and so beautifully highlights the black butterfly.
