There's just a week left for our June CAS Watercolour challenge.
This month I chose the challenge.
I found a piece of watercolor in my UFO box.
I had used watercolor crayons and a water brush to create an ocean scene.
Then I stamped some little sand dollars and starfish that were
way to big for the size of the scene!
I decided to see if I could fix it into a usable piece.
Nothing to lose, right?
And giant starfish and sand dollars are a bit unnerving!
I put a drop each of Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake re-inkers into the dips in a palette.
I wet the sand area with a water brush then picked up a bit of re-inker on
my brush and dropped it into the wet sand.
I kept adding more until I'd covered up the offending shells.
When it was dry, I cut it in half and added some birds to the scene.
I stamped sea oats on the other half.
I added a bit of white gel pen to the waves.
Better than before anyway.
I hope you'll check out the lovely ocean designs at

Wow...love the colours of the sea, the sand and the sky, great water colouring on both of your fabulous cards. Great save and such beautiful and peaceful scenes x
You painted such serene beach scenes, Bonnie! You've inspired me to get out some watercolors!!
Bonnie, so serene and pretty, Now I'm thinking what did the original look like :) having said that these look amazing, such a perfect beach scenes.
Great save on your watercolour beach scene Bonnie. I would never have know there was a mutant shell and starfish in the sand area. :) Scale is important ... the little birds, and the sea oats (cool name) are just the perfect size. Great watercolouring with the crayons. I love the water. It has so much texture and looks like the tide is coming in. And that little bit of purple on the horizon is gorgeous! xx
TFS both your ocean beach scenes, Bonnie. Your challenge has been so much fun this month. I know it really challenged me, but I was so happy with my cards. It goodnand creative to have to think out of our comfort zone!
A Great rescue, you could be a lifeguard LOL. Super creations

Great save on your beach scene Bonnie. Love both of your cards. They are perfect for our "Beachy" challenge at Seize the Birthday. Have a wonderful day.
Beautiful beach scene cards Bonnie! Nice save as well. I love each scene and would have never realized that you had stamped the shell and starfish things as there is no sign of them now. Just two beautiful serene ocean views! Hugs, Brenda
What a "save" Bonnie, gorgeous scenes and you got 2 cards out of the deal - bonus!! Love them.
Well, you changed the scene beautifully Bonnie and love both versions. I really love that bit of pink on the horizone and the bit of white for the waves. x
Bonnie, I just sighed at your peaceful ocean scene, it's gorgeous, love the colours, the hint of purple and white wave tops.... and then I scrolled down... wow what a rescue and two cards, I'm amazed you've hidden something - nothing to lose hey-give it your best shot, they're both fabulous. Thanks for having me along as GD this month I've had heaps of fun - sea cards everywhere.
I have no idea how you eliminated a giant starfish and sea shell but I see no evidence of it at all. I need to learn that trick. This is such a serene scene and love that you were able to eradicate the unwanted stamping. Beautiful scene.
Great save, BonBon! You've created a lovely painted ocean scene!! Hugs, Dolly
Beautiful and serene beach scene, Bonnie! I love your watercoloring! I can tell the gel pen lines do make a difference, but I would never have thought offending shells were covered up in the sand. :-) Hideko xx
great beach scene Bonnie...love the look and loved the theme this month.
xx Karen
Great to hear how you saved the piece with the giant shells - I'd never have guessed! You created two lovely peaceful ocean scenes - I'd like to be walking on those beaches!
Beautiful watercolour ocean side scenes, all with just the right touch of stamping.
Both are so contemplative places to be, love them xx
What a great way to fix an oops Bonnie, and now you have 2 absolutely BEAUTIFUL cards!! I have had more fun with this Ocean theme this month, and even have another card for tomorrow! Thanks for keeping me inspired by all your lovely, lovely cards this month...I've loved every one of them!! :0)
Had you not mentioned it, no one would have guessed or known about the oversized images... amazing fix! Two fantastic cards, Bonnie... so serene and beautifully watercolored. Love them! xx
Gorgeous reminders of the Florida seashore on both of these wonderfully done cards! I always enjoy reading about your saves, and if you had not told on yourself, no one would ever have guessed. You've recovered the card just beautifully...love the softness of the sky against that textured sand. TFS
I want to walk there and gather my own seashells, Bonnie. I love watching the little sandpipers skitter along the water's edge.
