CAS Watercolour
Susan is hosting this month's challenge
I had such fun coloring this beautiful flower!
I inked this NBUS Technique Tuesday Amaryllis stamp with markers and
pulled the color into the petals and leaves with a damp water brush.
By using my MISTI, I could stamp again if I needed to to get
lines back.
I did remember to color alternating petals so the color wouldn't
just run together.
After it was all colored, I pulled some color from the image to
make a soft wash around the flower.
I want to do this flower again.
The Design Team along with our Guest Designer, Maura
have some beautiful Christmas Florals and/or Greenery to share with you.
Hope you check them out.
Enjoy!

I don't think anyone does this style as well as you do Bonnie. This card is really gorgeous.
What do you mean by "NBUS Technique Tuesday"?

Gorgeous flower Bonnie. Your watercolouring is perfect! I love this pretty image and how you've pulled out that vibrant red to create a soft pink background. Very elegant and beautiful card, my friend! xx
Gorgeous flower Bonnie, love how you water coloured it!
Beautiful Amaryllis Bonnie, Such a gorgeous flower and the perfect Christmas greenery :)
These flowers make great gifts, and your card captures their look perfectly!
Another beauty Bonnie! Your coloring is FABULOUS on this card...love how you pulled the deeper color out to the softer...just lovely!! Really love the image you used too...SO pretty!! :0)
Great water colouring on that beautiful amaryllis flower stamp. Such a stunning artsy card and so very pretty. I can see why you would want to colour this stamp up again.....beautiful X
How lovely this is and a great reminder to color alternate petals. Can't wait to see the next one you do.
Gorgeous watercolored Amaryllis in beautiful Christmas colors, Bonnie. TFS Hugs..Nancy
This is gorgeous, Bonnie. I tried so hard to get these to bloom but had such bad luck. I loved the way they looked. This technique can be difficult but you mastered it. Love your soft wash too.
I used to grow an amaryllis every Christmas but have switched now to paper whites as it's easier to get them to bloom in time for the holidays.
I love the traditional Christmas red for the flower - and your watercolouring and the background wash are fabulous!
Another beauty, Bonnie! Amazing job pulling the colours to create a soft watercolour wash background. The simple framing with no sentiment is CAStastic! xx
Bonnie, this flower is gorgeous and your bg is so soft and subtle, fabulous WC card!!!
Your Amaryllis is so delicate and pretty, Bonnie! I love how you watercolored the stem and leaves as much as the flowers. Looking at your card closely, I wondered if you used yellow and I checked the Card Recipe. And saw "Peeled Paint" listed. My color swatch chart doesn't show the yellow tint. I'm always learning from you, my friend! Thank you for listing the colors you used!
Hideko xx
Bonnie this is just stunning! Saved it to my CASE list! Thanks for your instructions too! Esp. the note about coloring every other petal. I'd never have thought of that.
Beautiful card with that lovely flower.
This is so pretty and delicate Bonnie!
how gorgeous Bonnie...love the look you achieved.
