Playing with Paper Towels

Hello friends.

My friend Loll has a new video tutorial out.
She's showing how she uses paper towels used to mop up ink on her cards.

I've tried this technique without much success.
After watching Loll's tutorial, I see that I haven't  had enough ink in my towels.

I need to try it again.

First though, here's a card where I've used a mop up paper towel as a background.

I've separated the 2 ply sheets and wrapped one around a piece of cardstock
for a background.
I didn't get it straight.  But then, I rarely get things straight!

I've place an Alexandra Renke die cut that was a gift from a sweet friend,
and a butterfly die cut from one of my Brusho backgrounds.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Tiny Sayings (AE)
Ink:   Midnight Muse (SU)
Paper:   Neenah (110 lb. Solar White)
Other:  Paper Towel, Stitched Butterfly Die (PS), Flower Die (Alexandra Renke)

Still great way to use those kitchen towels. such a beautiful background. I have a few on my table that just need a little more in and I'll be good to go :)

Inspiring to see you’ve had success, Bonnie. Like you, I didn’t have much luck, but maybe I will give it another go after seeing your beautiful card. xx

WOW...this is so cool looking Bonnie! (and I wouldn't have even noticed it was crooked if you hadn't said something...just pretend it's artistic license and all that!!) I'm loving all the colors you used on that paper towel together and the die cut is FABULOUS!! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! :0)

I've had the same problem with my paper towels not being saturated enough - need to do a lot more mopping before I can try again! Love your use of the actual paper towel for your background - and I really love that flower die! Both make for a beautiful card!

You had a paper towel that looked so colorful? Wow, mine are all muddy! Love the bright colors on this, perfect behind your silhouette. Your card is so cheerful and reminds me that maybe spring will be here shortly after all.

I threw a paper towel away that had so much Brushos on it that it would have been perfect for this. I didn't see the video until after the recyle had gone.:( I'm saving them from now on because yours looks wonderful, Bonnie.

The colors on your towel are beautiful. For the life of me, I can't figure out what is crooked. It looks great and I love the Renke die cut. I love her papers so much that I don't want to cut them up!

Let me see if I have this straight Bonnie, you just wrapped the paper towel (1 ply) around the card stock??? You didn't just spritz the paper towel with water and got the ink that way, but you used the paper towel instead?! Amazing and so, so beautiful!!! I love this card and I love your cleverness with making such beautiful cards! Hugs, Brenda

Incredibly beautiful mopping, for this DUO ;-)
Love how you put this piece together. That colourful textured towelette really adds to this bouquet along with the Brushos butterfly. This is special, love it xx

Your mop up paper towel is so pretty, Bonnie!
The white die-cut flowers are smiling and swinging in front of the soft and colorful background. :-)
