It's a special month for us!
We're celebrating our 3rd Birthday!
with prizes!
My mixed media are Faux Stained Glass, Die Cuts, Splash Watercolor, stamping, heat embossing and dry embossing.
The very talented Joanna is hosting this month.
Here's the challenge she chose.
There are links to tutorials at the challenge site and the Design Team
along with our Guest Designer, Gundi, have some beautiful inspiration pieces
to share with you.
For my card, I die cut this lovely Bright Blossom die three times keeping all
the pieces of one die cut intact for the bottom layer. I colored the petals of that layer
with Zigs. Then I stacked all the layers together.
When the glue was dry, I filled each of the petal sections with Nuvo Crystal Glaze
adding a thick coat and let that dry.
The background is a piece of Splash Watercolor. Sorry, I don't
remember what I used for the color on that.
I did one using black too.
Now it's your turn. I wonder if you can stop at one?
Hope to see you in the gallery at CAS Mix Up.
Enjoy!

My goodness same die and two very different appeals. Sorry can't choose. The first is delicate and dreamy, the second so elegant and classic. Both so very exquisite xx
Happy 3rd Birthday to you, Loll and your wonderful DT at CAS Mix Up, Bonnie! Your cards are just beautiful...I love the softness of the first one and the striking effects of the black die cut on the 2nd card...WOW! You've done an amazing job with this technique, and I can't wait to try it for myself :)
Super cards, Bonnie. I love the effect of the Faux Stained Glass. xx
These are really beautiful Bonnie.

The splash background is so pretty and so is your faux stained glass technique card. Absolutely beautiful and wonderfully CAS x.
Two beautiful cards. Love that die cut you used. I like the soft colors of your first card, so pretty. The 2nd card is very striking in the black.
These are just gorgeous, Bonnie and something I'm tempted to try! Wow, what an impact these have. When you stacked the first one with the pieces cut out of it, how did you adhere those pieces back in since there is no back to the outline? Sorry, just curious. These are so beautiful!
These are fabulous flowers Bonnie, and I love the pretty pink you have used behind the glaze in the petals which looks great using the white and black card. I love the splash watercolour background on the first, and then the textural script on the second and two different styles of sentiment too. Stunning cards! x
Bonnie, both are beautiful, I must admit the black one just jumps off the screen. Can't wait to try the faux stained glass technique :)
OMG, Bonnie..Two Gorgeous CAS Flower faux stained glass card designs, my friend. TFS your steps. I plan to play soon:-) You have inspired be again and again for the last 3 years. Loving the splash background for the really pretty first card Bonnie - and the second has real impact with the black - proper stained glass window!
Came back to say that I love the black line one too. Absolutely beautiful colours that pop against the black and the dimension on the background sets it off fabulously. Such a striking card x.
The shine is fabulous, Bonnie. I went searching and did find one die I can use so I'm in the process of making my card. I hope it turns out as good as yours.
These are so beautiful. The black outline really makes an impact and the soft white outline is feminine and sweet. I love the backgrounds on both cards.
I forgot to add Happy Birthday and congratulations on three great years. The designers are terrific and I've learned a lot from all of you.
WOW...2 FABULOUS cards Bonnie!! I love the soft colors of the first one, but I really love the dramatic black and white with the pop of color...absolutely STUNNING!! :0)
Wow, these cards show us so well how you can make cards with a completely different look using the same die, Bonnie! The shiny faux stained glass petals are so pretty.
The first one is springy and perfect for the beginning of March. I love that you put a soft splash watercolor panel (sponged the edges?) behind the flowers. The second one is very striking and impactful. The script stenciling in the background is a really nice touch!
Hideko xx
Your die cut is perfect for the two Faux Stained Glass cards Bonnie I love them both.
Just beautiful, Bonnie. Wonderful Zig coloring. I must admit the black stands out more. I must have been channeling CMU’s vine because I did this technique for my MB DT post today and I used black too. xx
Happy 3rd birthday! Congratulations and wishing you continued success. xx
these look amazing...going to check it out.
xx Karen
Two beauties, Bonnie. LOVE this sweet die and will need to add it to my wish list. :) Just perfect for the faux stained glass technique. It's so amazing how different the die looks cut from different colours. I love the soft, delicate look of your first card (and it's pink!), and the dramatic look of the bold black outlines of the second. Great work, my friend! xx
Wow, wow, wow! Love both of your cards Bonnie! That flower die is just so beautiful and making it look like stained glass is perfect. I love your splashed background in the white one, just beautiful. But the black one is so dramatic and bold and elegant and so stunning! The embossed background is just perfect to show case this black outlined stained glass flower! Stunning! Hugs, Brenda
So beautiful. The spotty background goes well with the delicate flower with its glass petals.
Absolutely beautiful, Bonnie ! This technique is just gorgeous and I love the beautiful splatters you've done as a background. Striking with the black die cut also. So many beautiful inspiration here and there. Thanks for sharing. x
Two beauties using this interesting technique Bonnie! I love the water wash behind the white one and the beautiful pinks used on both of your blooms such a different look using the white and black! xx
Great cards Bonnie, I love both designs but the black really pops and is my favourite.
