We are blessed here today. Hurricane Isaias scooted by our area
without any big problems. We had a lot of rain but not a lot of wind.
Some areas weren't as blessed.
Sending prayers for those who are assessing their losses and cleaning up.
Onto today's card.
I used a stamp and die that a dear friend gave me for my birthday.
When I saw this inspiration photo, I new I had to play.
I did some selective stamping and colored the image with Copic markers.
I used another birthday present under the image and embossed subtle
texture to the piece behind in honor of the pillows.
I had a few messy spots and the little bees from Power Poppy worked
perfectly to cover them up. Some of them anyway...
Wondered how it would look watercolored.
What do you think?

Wow Bonnie - just love both versions but I really liked the Copic one for the sweet buzzing bees! The watercolor is gorgeous too!!
Two beautiful cards Bonnie, I love the lemon theme of your cards especially the first the sentiment and the bees are perfect. Colouring on both is amazing. Well done with the copics and water colouring :)
Gorgeous cards and colouring Bonnie, glad you missed the mess and devastation.
Faith x
Wow ...both cards look fantastic Bonnie. What a fabulous gift to receive. The first one is more dramatic with the striking and wonderful colouring and love the bees x. The second one is softer and so very pretty x.
Wow! They are both so gorgeous!!! Totally different yet equally incredible! I've so enjoyed my visit today... Stay safe and well my friend
Good use of your birthday presents! These cards make me think "happy". Fun to see the difference in same image colored with copics and with watercolor.
Thanks for the update about the storms. I'm glad you are okay and no damage. I love both of these but the bees are so cute. Pretty water colored card and I like the "Sweet" die you used. Congratulations on your win at KathyRac!
What do I think? I think these are so beautifully colored that they make me pucker - and want pie!
Gorgeous lemons, Bonnie! Their little flowers remind me of my 'final bake' in Culinary school! Though mine were made from gum paste - and [thank goodness] not one bee!
I'm so happy to see them in our IB gallery this week - thanks so much for playing!!

Both cards are beautiful and I love the sentiment too. TFS
Thankful you are o.k. and only had rain. Prayers for those in Isaias' path.
Glad the hurricane missed you Bonnie, though as you say others were not so lucky. I love both cards using these pretty lemons and love the little daffodil flowers and sweet bees, and a fun sentiment too. Your second card has worked really well too with the watercolouring insted of Copics, so bright and wonderful designs of both with the different finished looks with mats and frames. Gorgeous! x
My gosh, Bonnie, I'm in awe of your coloring and water coloring. I honestly studied your colors for quite a while. I love the mix of colors adding a little green to the lemons making them look so realistic. Both of these are so well done.
It looks great both ways. clever use of the bees xx
A beautiful image that you have coloured to perfection in two mediums, Bonnie! Those lemons looks delicious and so sweet with the edges outside the frame. xx
Oh I think you nailed the challenge with the perfect image and your beautiful colouring. Love the vibrancy of the Copic coloured one.
First off, I'm so glad to hear you are safe...kept thinking of you with every weather report!! And as far as both of your cards...both absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Just something about black & white and yellow that looks so happy, doesn't it?!! Seriously though, they are both so pretty and I don't see any "oops"!! Hugs. :0)
Two very sweet cards! I don't see any "messy" spots, so you've masked them perfectly -- bees to the rescue! Hope your Birthday was wonderful!
Both lemon designs are so sweet and beautiful, Bonnie. You got such different results with your Copics and watercoloring mediums. Both equally beautiful. TFS and so happy to get your update on the storm that you are ok...just wet!!! Love and Hugs to you and your family, Nancy
These are fab Bonnie! I am glad it's not only me that's messy too! x
Two fabulous cards Bonnie, love both with the markers and watercolours, you nailed it... lemons are a favourite of mine to use in cooking, yum... hugs Robyn
so beautiful....sunny and bright

This lemon stamp is wonderful and you've really shown two great examples with it, Bon! I love both the brighter and paler versions and just love all the bees you've added! They do love lemon blossoms! Keep well! Hugs, Dolly
Fabulous!
Kust having a wee catch up on your blog...
Your wonderful coloring make the lemons look delicious and 3D, Bonnie! It's so interesting to see the difference between the Copic coloring and the watercoloring. Both cards are fantastic!
Hideko xx
Gosh, I love both of these and don't have a preference. The first has a fun look to it with the deeper contrast and the bees and the whimsical sentiment. The second is soft and painterly. Really like how the die cuts this. You did such a beautiful job on these. I'm so glad to hear you're okay after the hurricane. I've been wondering about each of my east coast blog friends.
I can't pick a favorite, they are both so incredibly beautiful! Love the embossed pillow frames and fresh design. We are glad you are safe, scary times! Thank you for sharing @ IB, can't wait to see more!
Two gorgeous cards, I love your coloring, and the addition of green makes the lemons look so realistic. There is so much going on in the first card thanks to these little bees
