Playful Posies for CAS Mix Up

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by.

It's time for a new challenge at

This month we're doing Mixed Media and my dear and very talented
 friend Joanna is hosting....

I used my die to cut and to emboss.

Can you see the embossed image behind the watercolored die cuts?

I also used a die to emboss a frame.

I used Brushos sprinkled in my palette and watered to
color the die cut flowers! Love the rich colors!

For the sentiment I stamped and heat embossed on a snippet of
watercolor paper then watercolored in the dark green.

So my mixed media are: Embossing with Die, Die Cutting, Watercoloring, Stamping
and Heat Embossing.

Our fabulous Design Team has some wonderful inspiration for you
and we're joined this month by Mac as our awesome Guest Designer.
I hope you'll check them out and join us at

What beautifully coloured die cut poppies Bonnie, and love the impression of the die in the background, and also an embossed frame around it too, as well as a die cut one for it to sit on. A stunning card and a great technique from Joanna this time. x

Gorgeous die cut poppies so beautifully watercolored with Brushos, Bonnie. Loved your green sentiment and die cut frame too. Your embossing with your die background added a wonderful subtle texture to your die cut flowers. TFS my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy

Gorgeous card Bonnie! I LOVE those bright and bold poppies. So pretty with the added dimension of the dry embossed images in the background. And so cool that you also dry embossed the stitched frame --- I would never have thought to do that! :) xx

The brushos coloring on the flower is so vibrant and using brushos to color the image instead of a background is an interesting touch. Like the embossed stitched rectangle die around the image panel...cool idea. Also like the sentiment banner embossed in white and watercolored with that rich, striking green.

I love to see a frame die embossed on a card panel, Bonnie... a sure way to draw one's attention to the star of the show! In this case, those poppies are too pretty to miss! Gorgeous!

Precious and elegant. I fell in love with this stunner the moment you added it on the blog. The die embossing is so brilliantly repeated with the radiant die cut blooms. I love the the contrast against the white making the die embossing even more spectacular and the die cuts the center piece. The Happy Birthday strip ground these beauties, love every detail my friend. xx

Love this beautiful card Bonnie! I too love the rich colors you got with your watercoloring. I can indeed see the embossing with your die, so cool looking behind the die cut/watercolor. Love the double lines of stitching too, one embossed, one die cut. You got a lot of mixed media on this beautiful card! Hugs, Brenda

What a pretty flower card, Bonnie! Love the bright red and dark green popped up on the white card base. It's so clever of you not to align the die to the flowers. The embossed lines show much better.
