Faux Patina Techinique

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

A couple few months ago I tried a new technique with friends.  It's called Faux Patina.

The design piece was embossed with a 3D Embossing Folder that had been inked
with Sahara sand on the flat side.  Then I sponged
green, blue and brown ink randomly all over the embossing.

I made sure all the ink was dry and gently tapped a Versamark pad
randomly on top of the embossing and sprinkled with gold embossing powder.
Where the embossing powder was too heavy, I brushed some away.
After heat setting, the piece has a nice glow to contrast with the dark ink colors.

I cut the design piece in half and got a twofer out of it.

Here's a video tutorial in case you're interested.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Good Lord! Between all of your new techniques and trying to jump through the hoops here to get the vaccine, my head is spinning!
Beautifully done Bonnie.
I don't know how they are facilitating the vaccine where you are but here it is a fiasco!! Between that and the election results from Georgia, I am at my wits end!!!!!!

Your newest technique produced beautiful cards Bonnie - Bravo!!

These are gorgeous, Bonnie! I'm a big fan of muted colors and what a great job you did mixing those colors. Love the hint of gold in it and all the shine. Another Bonnie technique I'm going to have to try.
