Butterflies and Daisies

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

A very sweet friend send some Washi butterflies in my birthday card.
They are so pretty and I was quick to get them on a card.

Aren't they pretty?

I was looking for something else and ran across the window piece already cut
and set it aside for these butterflies.

I had a pretty embossed piece that had been sent by another sweet friend
that worked beautifully for a little texture behind the windows.

Then I got a big green smudge on the side, which made a good
opportunity to use some of that stash of patterned paper.

I thought it needed a little something else so I made use of a thin strip of
gold paper that was a left over and punched some little circles left from one of
those tiny snippets of gold foil that I can't bear to throw out.

The fabulous Darlene and Diane have started another new challenge.
This one focuses on using Patterned Paper.  I'm not sure this piece of patterned
paper is big enough to qualify, but I'm going to take it there anyway and hope.
I'm also going to take this to D & D's Word Power Challenge hoping that the sentiment
qualifies as the focus.

A twofer with more die cut Washi from another sweet friend.

This Washi has such pretty colors and the gold running through them adds
shine and elegance.

I just added a couple of the bouquets to a piece of Subtle Texture, stamped the
sentiment and it was done.

Challenges:
Love those Pretty Patterned Papers - Use Patterned Paper Optional theme Summertime
Word Power #8 - Use Sentiment as the focus of the card.

Two beautiful cards, Bonnie! You always know the right moment to 'say when!' I love these washi pieces, and it is sometimes hard to know exactly what to do with them - not hard for you!

Two beautiful cards Bonnie. Love the verse on the butterfly card and those butterflies are so pretty. The pattern paper and gold snippets are perfect with them. You do use washi tape prints so well.

Those beautiful butterflies go well with the sentiment on patterned paper, Bonnie. I love the design on the washi card. I'll try to remember that with some of the new washi I got as part of PFS's Create and Connect coming up soon.

Just love both washi cards, Bonnie - the trio of butterflies look amazing with the texture and the patterned paper with gold accents! Love your two flower clusters on card two - lol, I'm working on a similar sketch for an anniversary. BTW, Pinkfresh's August challenge is to use washi - check it out:

I love the butterflies sitting on each pretty embossed window and the paper and gold strip, little foil circles and lovely sentiment finish it perfectly. The second is so pretty two with the two floral bouquets and large stamped sentiment across the middle..a really bright and sunny card. x

Both card are just beautiful, Bonnie but I do love that striking look of the butterfly card with the designer paper. The added gold works perfectly. Great layout with the washi tape too on the second card!

Both your designs using the pretty Washi butterflies and bouquets are gorgeous, Bon! Washi rolls make so many cuts, so I - and anyone seeing this - will appreciate your creative ways to use them! And thank you for playing with my I.D.E.A.S. this week! Hugs, Dolly

Very pretty, Bonnie. I thought that patterned paper was a homemade watercolor/splattered panel. Those washi butterflies really stand out! Washi's come a long way!
