So far I'm keeping up with my Christmas cards.
I'm kind of glad to get away from snowflakes now.
My dear friend, Hazel (My Card Attic)
recently sent me a surprise package with some beautiful die cuts.
This was one of them.
Thanks so much, Hazel!
I glued it on a piece of wood grain cardstock and
used some Prismacolor Pencils to color through the bird and flower.
This week's Merry Monday challenge was chosen by Deanne.
I used the colors and texture on the cup as my inspiration.
I'm going to tell you a secret.
It's something I'm not proud of and glad I was able to fix it.
I put the glue on the top side of this die!
It's cut from shiny cardstock so luckily it wiped right off.
Whew! I thought I'd messed up this beautiful die cut!
Glad I didn't!
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

I really like this very much Binnie. What a lovely die from your friend and I like the way you've put it on a woodgrain background. Barbxx

Fabulous card, Bonnie, such a great die cut. Love the pops of red. xx
Putting the glue on the wrong side sounds more like me I'm afraid! LOL! Glad it was an easy fix since your card is so beautiful!

So glad you retrieved the ever so pretty die cut to make this classy and pretty card. Loving the textured card too x How fabulous is it to have such good friends? x
A very CAS and striking looking card. What a unique die cut your friend sent you and combined with the Bonnie magic touch of the wood grain cs...purr-fect. Love it when you confess your boos boos -- makes me feel better about mine(!)
Beautiful card. I am glad you were able to save this beautiful die cut. I love it.
This is my new favorite! I love it and will use this idea for me some Christmas cards - wonderful!

Bonnie, this is so crisp and clean! Love the black on white and what a gorgeous die cut! I bow to those of you who can glue those intricate dies without a mess too! Beautiful card!
Lovely take on the photo, especially the use of the woodgrain cs. And what a gorgeous die! So glad it was glossy cs and you could recover from putting glue on the wrong side!
Isn't Hazel such a treasure? I love this die cut and I love how you've used it - very simply, but oh, so effectively. (of course I love the tiny red birds!) Enjoyed hearing the boo-boo story and how you recovered. I've done that too. The motif looks just beautiful against the simple wood graining, and just shines. TFS & Hugs too.
Hazel is indeed a honey! I love this beautiful die!!!! And I love the way you colored the bird and flower. It makes for one stunning Christmas card! And good for your for keeping up with making your Christmas cards, that is so wonderful!!! Oh, I am glad you didn't mess this beauty up either, nice that it wiped off well and we would have been none the wiser either! Hugs, Brenda
Beautifully Elegant. Love the dash of red

What a beautiful die cut Bonnie - the touch of red on bird and flower is perfect - love the woodgrain base - it gives a pretty subtle texture to the card! Julia xx
I've been doing a great job of keeping up with Merry Monday but this one had me stumped. Your different take on the image has given me hope that I can come up with something. This is wonderful, Bonnie.
Glad you found a use for the die cut Bonnie my friend! It's always a bit tough sending things to crafting buddies (as you never know what they have and what they don't have). Your choice of card-stock is inspired, the wood-grain goes beautifully with the 'twig's of the wreath! Glad you salvaged it OK, but I could always send you more, so it wouldn't have been a disaster! ;) Have a wonderful day! Hazel xx
Haven't we all glued the wrong side of whatever at some time ?!? Glad you fixed your pretty die cut wreath. Love your textured CS. I thought you had used a woodgrain eb folder. Your CAS design is awesome. TFS my friend.
Whoops, well saved. I can guess how annoyed you were. Gorgeous die cut. I love the textured backgorund too.
This is beautiful Bonnie - I would never have know you messed it up!!
CAS perfection, love the simplicity of the colours, the red really pops against the white and black. Great take on the challenge pic
Beautiful die cut & love it on the wood grain paper, Bonnie!
Simply fantastic! I do like the pop of colour on the bird and snowflake!
you go girl!! Good for you getting the jump on next yrs cards.
This is so lovely...I hear you about the snow though, not a fan.
xx Karen
Great card! I forgot this what this week was but decided red and white was it unless it was something with NOEL so I started one of each and finished neither. I have good intentions...
Black and white always looks so crisp and clean Bonnie and that bit of red just brings it to life. I love the die cut with the large sentiment, and the woodgrain background looks great. x
