Hi there. I'm glad you stopped by!
I've had Perfect Pearls for years and hadn't used them in years.
So when my sweet, organized and talented friend Loll suggested a Zoom get together
using Perfect Pearls, I was all in!
I die cut the butterfly from Mixed Media paper so it was all ready to add color.
Then I smooshed Distress ink on my palette, tapped a bit of Pearl Perfect Pearls on the ink,
spritzed with a bit of water and mixing it to use as watercolor.
I laid the die cut on another piece of mixed media paper so my messiness
would run off on it for a background. While the butterfly was very inky, I turned
it over and pressed it down for Print Making. Then I covered the print butterfly when
I made the card. Oh well, it made an interesting background.
I also added a snowflake that was laying on my table. I just liked the look of it
under the butterfly.
You can see the pearly shine better here.
Of course I didn't stop at one!
Stamped, heat embossed, watercolored with Distress ink mixed with Perfect Pearls
and water. Maybe you can see that pearly glow better here.
Check out what my Zoom friends did with their pearls.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

LOVE both your perfect pearl cards Bonnie! The printed butterfly looks fantastic as the background for your die-cut butterfly. And I love the addition of the snowflake. What a great way to stretch your snowflake die --- it looks beautiful under your butterfly! Your Christmas poinsettia is gorgeous with all that shine. Lovely design with your stamped leaf sprigs. It was a fun day Zooming with you! xx
both cards are so beautiful Bonnie, I love that shimmery blue and your poinsettia absolutely gorgeous :)
These zooming sessions are so much fun, and we get to use stuff we haven't used since we purchased them years ago.
Stunning cards Bonnie.

Well, you've done it again, Bon, this time with that stylized poinsettia stamp and die. It's now on its way to my home because I love, love, love your beautiful card and all the shimmer from painting it with PP! I also love your pretty turquoise butterfly! What a fantastic idea to stamp with your die to make a print background and I think it's brilliant how you put the snowflake in between! Awesome design eye!! Hugs, Dolly
What beauties with the Perfect Pearls, Bonnie!! Like you, I've had some for years and where do they sit?? You've inspired me to pull them out! Both your butterfly and poinsettia look amazing and bonus with your print-making!!

What a good idea--mixing Perfect Pearls with Distress Ink! Love how the cards turned out with that pearly look. Gonna try it this afternoon with a poinsettia stamp and die for a Christmas card. Thank you for the idea!
Both cards are beautiful, Bonnie and i loved the idea of a non-traditional card with a snowflake and butterfly! Great idea. Your poinsettia is gorgeous too!
A day with friends, and two Christmas cards made = a totally winning day! Perfect Pearls have totally escaped me, Bonnie... but your cards sure are beautiful!

How great you did the print making along with Perfect Pearls. That is a beautiful card. The poinsettia just sparkles and made a stunning Christmas card. What a fun day that was.
I haven't used perfect pearls. You have done a beautiful job with both your cards. I totally love the blue butterfly card. And oh my, the sparkle of the poinsettia--gorgeous.
Beautiful cards. Love the shine on the butterfly and the pretty poinsettia. I will have to dig out my Perfect Pearls also. TFS
You're reminding me of some of the things I no longer have in my stash, but when you have a small stamp room... Both your cards are so beautiful! I sure can see the sheen on them in your photos. I didn't realize that was a snowflake on your first card until you mentioned it. What a great idea! Really love the poinsettia on your second card. Must have been a fun Zoom session!
Wow, you ladies are coming up with some great techniques with pearl powders! I love your butterfly card, the color is just yummy, love the shimmer the powder gave and I really like the snowflake under the butterfly too. Your poinsettia card is so pretty with all the shimmer. Made such a beautiful Christmas card. I will definitely have to try some of these techniques you ladies have been doing! Hugs, Brenda
OMG your cards are terrific. Your first one is so striking, I LOVE that color, but then I scrolled down to the poinsettia...both are gorgeous and I am giving this a try for sure! thanks for all the inspiration!
Quite interesting using the butterfly on the snowflake. Love the PP used on the Poinsettia.

I really love that first one, the colour, shine and 'splodgy' background are wonderful. Deciding to incorporate the snowflake adds real interest too xx
How wonderful to dust those perfect pearls off and try them with new techniques Bonnie! Both of your cards are just lovely - the iridescent butterfly is so pretty and your bright poinsettia is gorgeous with the green leaves in the background!
Gorgeous cards, beautiful shimmer. Love the butterfly! xx
Two beautiful cards Bonnie, this Perfect Pearls technique to watercolour your images is wonderful... all that lovely shimmer - special cards... hugs Robyn = stay safe
Two very special beauties came out of that Zoom meeting. That blue butterfly is heavenly. I love the CAS allure and the layering over that delicate background. The poinsettia is special too. Great productive reunion xx
Wow, the color and the pearly shine of the butterfly are amazing!! The Print Making background with the white snowflake layered over is very special and beautiful! I love the background as much as this elegant butterfly.
The red poinsettia is gorgeous! The gold matte enhances the pearly glow of the flower. I have this stamp set, and I'd love to use my Perfect Pearl with it. Thank you for your inspiration!
Hideko xx
Oh Bonnie, two such beautiful cards! I especially love the first butterfly card, where the pearl butterfly in the background looks so amazing.

I never thought about mixing Perfect Pearls with Distress Inks, Bonnie. Now I have a whole new way of adding shimmer to my die cuts just like you did on this beautiful butterfly.
