Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I love the photo to inspire us at The Flower Challenge this month. The colors are so
dreamy and the feeling of gentle movement very soothing.
This is my take...you can see the picture below my card.
I've been wanting to play with this new set from Penny Black and this challenge
gave me the perfect opportunity. It's my new favorite stamp/die set so
you'll be seeing more of it in the near future.
I stamped the image in Memento Toffee Crunch and colored with
Distress Reinkers uses as watercolors. The matching die makes it easy to
cut it out and gets those little in between spots really well. A black
Micron pen highlighted the details in the flower center.
I loved the lattice die cut that Jill Foster used for a card using this flower so
it found it's way into my cart too. I think I'll be using this die quite a bit!
The alcohol inked piece had the right color and movement as in the inspiration photo
and I love how it plays so beautifully with the peach shades.

The Flower Challenge #104 - Be inspired by the colours in the photo

Beautiful!! Love your card Bonnie and the colors are perfect, as is your coloring. Glad those stamps & dies found their way into your cart. :) Looking forward to seeing more beautiful cards with them. Have a wonderful day.
I have the flower but not that terrific lattice die. You put them together beautifully, Bonnie, with wonderful watercoloring on the flower and a fabulous alcohol inked background. Thanks for sharing your card with us at The Flower Challenge.
Everything about this card is just lovely! I'm afraid you've added another Penny Black frame to my wish list, however. I especially like your alcohol inked background and your watercoloring is wonderful, too. A great entry to the challenge!
Absolutely beautiful card Bonnie! Your water colored blooms are sooooo pretty and I adore the lattice frame with the alcohol inked background! You totally nailed this challenge my friend and am so glad you shared this with us at The Flower Challenge!! Hugs. :0)
Sheer perfection! The coloring on the flower is spectacular, your color-matches spot on and the whole composition is just as dreamy as the inspiration photo. Wow, this has to be my favorite from your cards - ever!
I can easily see how this one would become a favorite, Bonnie! I love your bloom in all the shades of orange in our inspiration - lucky you to have the perfect inky piece to bring it all home!
Such a GORGEOUS addition to our gallery at The Flower Challenge!

So beautiful, love the colours too. x
You've done a lovely job of capturing the movement and the lovely colors from the inspo pic.
Bonnie, this is gorgeous! You captured the fluid feel of the inspiration photo perfectly! Such pretty colors!
Beautiful! Your colouring and shading of the flowers is fabulous! And what a great layout!
Beautifully done, Bonnie this is an amazing card!
What a great combination of the blue alcohol inked piece behind the strip die with the beautifully peach coloured flower, and the font of the sentiment is so pretty...a wonderful card Bonnie. x
More Penny Black for my wish list (stamp and lattice) after seeing your gorgeous card! I've been holding off as I have so much PB to catch up on (along with everything else). Your coloring is amazing and the background is a perfect fit. So lovely, Bonnie!
What a lovely combination, so pretty xx
Fantastic set. I also think the stamp and die are amazing. The color selection is also brilliant. It has a very summery feel, like a sun-drenched beach, with warm sand and soothing water. Your card is truly wonderful.
Hugs,
BożenA
You've used the challenge colors perfectly here! I love how you worked the teal onto the card with the geometric piece. It adds so much to your card!
