Same But Different

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I had another play with my fairly new Fantasy Bouquet dies.

This time I watercolored them in yellows.

I usually cut two, just in case.  Both sets of flowers turned out well so
I made two cards.  I used Jen B's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for
each but different backgrounds.

This one has an embossed background.  I thought the flowers in the embossing
folder were a good match for the die cut flowers.

For the second card, I used a new to me die from the NBUS box and put it on
a yellow base for a little more pop of color.

Now I need to decide which to take over to

Card Recipe (card 1)
Stamps:  Wildflowers (ret W+9)
Ink:   Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Watercolor (Arches CP)
Other:  Fantasy Flowers die (SSS), Privet Branch die (SSS), Distress re-inkers (Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Dried Marigold, Peeled Paint, Rustic Wilderness), Floral Festoon EF (SSS), Stitched Rectangle die (SSS), Decorative Sentiment Dies (EMD)

Card Recipe
tamps:  Wildflowers (ret W+9)
Ink:   Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Watercolor (Arches CP)
Other:  Fantasy Flowers die (SSS), Privet Branch die (SSS), Distress re-inkers (Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Dried Marigold, Peeled Paint, Rustic Wilderness), Border Bling: Tin Stitched die (PTI), Decorative Sentiment dies (EMD)

Enjoy!

These are both so pretty Bonnie and you know yellow is my favorite color, so that makes both even more beautiful! Both backgrounds are wonderful too, but I think I'm liking the embossed background just a tiny bit better! Lovely, lovely cards that have definitely brightened up my morning!! Hugs. :0)

When I saw your first card with these flowers I thought they would look beautiful in yellow and you proved me right, Bonnie. It's great when an embossing folder matches the dies but the card also looks wonderful with the coverplate.

TWO cards using our Sketch? That's something extra special to be thankful for, Bonnie! Both are stunning - you're so right about that embossing being a good match btw - but I love that your new debossed cover die provided you with the perfect center panel as in Jen's sketch! Truly beautiful...

Fantastic! Both cards are beautiful in their own way, fabulous embossing and perfect debossing -- equally perfect, Bonnie!

Oh, yes, how perfect these both are with the sketch! I love the yellow and white, and the backgrounds of each make them so different. These cards are a breath of fresh air!

Both are beautiful with the yellow blooms and lovely backgrounds. The EF on the first does have flowers that match and looks great. The coverplate die also looks great. Both are so bright and cheery. I have so many flower stamps and dies, but you are tempting me with these dies and your beautiful cards. :) Have a wonderful week and Happy Thanksgiving.

Beautifully done Bonnie. I am partial to yellow, but these would be lovely in most colors.

I've loved every card you've made with those beautiful Fantasy Flowers! Both of these are so pretty, but I'm especially drawn to the first one with that wonderful embossing folder.

These are both just as pretty as they can be! So hard to pick a favorite... it's a tie! Love the embossing and pretty cover plate!

What a difference the backgrounds make - each card has a very different feel. I especially love the first one with that gorgeous embossing folder background. The yellow of the flowers is so sunny and happy - very cheery to look at when it's pouring with rain here!

I used to be plain Jane but you are really winning me over with your embossed backgrounds. If I had to pick one over the other, I just couldn't do it. Anyone would be tickled yellow to receive one of your cards!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Oh so lovely in yellows, Bonnie! I never think to use it but will think twice from now on! Love both cards and the second a wee bit more because of a reminder that I have that PTI stitched die and better use it--with the yellow flowers!
