Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I hope you had a nice weekend and found some time to get creative.
This card was made with a new Simon Says Stamp embossing folder and die set.
I love being able to get the embossed details in the die cuts and when they
offered a discount on their embossing folders, I gave in to the temptation.
I thought that Donna's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches would be a good
fit for these little blooms.
Here's her sketch....
I used the smallest stitched rectangle die and cut six from Solar White Cardstock.
Then on to the embossing folder. The die cuts three so I cut once from mixed
media paper and colored with Distress Re-inkers used as watercolor. The leaves
were from another die.
After the flowers had dried, I used a white gel pen to highlight details and a
tiny gem for the center to tie the flowers to the sentiment strip.

What a delightful card, Bonnie. Those sweet colored blossoms look beautiful scattered among the embossed ones.
So lovely. x
I adore Cherry blossoms, Bonnie! I'm very happy that you gave in to this temptation and love how you've used this wonderful EF and die set for Donna's darling little rectangles - those little pink ones are so perfectly placed and very sweet!
Thanks for playing along!

What a great way to use your new EF and die set with this sketch. Love the pretty cherry blossoms with your coloring and placement.
Your new folder has a perfect take on the sketch! I love the texture and unexpected pops of color from the colored blossoms. Great use of all the things 😉
This is just delightful! Fresh, springy and very, very pretty!
You always rock the FMS Challenge, Bon, and this one is another winner to me! It is so pretty with the popped-up sweet flowers! I saw that sale and didn't succumb, but now I wish I had. Your library of embossing folders must be amazing and not for the first time, I wish we lived closer! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Dolly
A great fit, indeed, Bonnie! I'm loving the white on white with pops of pink from your sweet cherry blossoms! Thanks so much for playing with my sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches!
Your card is so delicate! I love the embossed segments and the repeated colorful cherry blossoms added at the top, which adds a beautiful extra dimension. This design is fantastic; you used the sketch perfectly to create this card. I love your spring card, Bonnie.

Oh, how pretty this is with the embossing and flowers! You chose a clever way to showcase your new folder, and you made the flowers extra pretty with the details you added. I lovelovelove it!
I'm playing catch up, Bonnie and each card you created is just as marvelous as the next! I think this one might just be my favorite! Love those pretty little pink blooms!
It looks like we both used the same EF. An NBUS for both too. I love cherry blossoms. My husband and I got a chance to fly to DC to see them a few years ago. Oh my. They were breathtaking.I love the sketch and the CAS it has. Your card is lovely. For once, I didn't get enabled because I already have the EF. [Bunny]
