Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Another just for fun Friday with some new butterflies.
I seem to be obsessed with the die and embossing folder sets. This one is one of my
all time favorites!
For the first card, I embossed a piece of Cantaloupe cardstock and patted over the
raised parts with a white ink pad. (I use a large inkpad to do this.)
Then I cut some butterflies and embossed them to get the wonderful detail.
A little ink in the center of the butterflies tie them into the background and
I had a perfect sentiment stamp and die set in my NBUS box to add to the card.
This time I used an aqua cardstock and ink and a favorite saying.
I thought it needed something extra and added a daisy for the wildflower.
Since this is their first outing, I'll add them to Darnell's NBUS challenge #86.

I LOVE your just for fun Fridays, Bonnie - especially when they involve your cut and emboss sets! This one's a keeper, for sure! Fantastic detail brought out by the swipe of white ink! Where has that darling sentiment been hiding?
I thought of you yesterday when I spied my first Swallowtail!

I can see why you love that set, Bonnie. The white ink brings out the background beautifully yet gives the die cut butterflies a place to shine. The sentiments fit the cards perfectly.
Your cards are beautiful Bonnie. Love those pretty butterflies with the touch of gold. The backgrounds are lovely and the white ink makes the raised areas pop. Those sentiments are perfect with your pretty butterflies.
Love the subtlety of the white ink on the embossing folders! So much more effective than just an embossed background. Beautiful butterflies with their gold bodies!
A double does of prettiness, Bonnie! I love the gold accents. These are just wonderful!
Both cards are soooo pretty Bonnie and I love how you did the backgrounds with the embossing and white ink...they really stand out!! And the butterflies are so pretty too...can totally see why you love this ef & die set so much!! Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
The embossed background used on these two cards is beautiful Bonnie and l love the colours, and having the same colour as the background on each of the wonderful butterflies works well too, and the added wild flower on the second to match the sentiment is a lovely idea. x
You've used truly brilliant solutions, my dear Bonnie. I love the white ink background; it brings out the details so well. The repetition of the background color on the butterflies also looks great. But I was most impressed by the golden bodies of the butterflies—the discovery of the year! They look so delicate and yet so elegant. Thank you for the incredible inspiration.
hugs,
BozenA xx
oh my these are so lovely...Each decision adds to the fabulousness of the cards. I love that touch of matching ink on the butterflies.
GORGEOUS, love the white embossing. x
Gosh, I feel downright ashamed that I haven't even used my folder yet. You know I've got too much NBUS, right? These colors are both so lovely. Perfect sentiments, and it's very fitting to add the pretty wildflower to the second card. "Just for fun Fridays" sounds wonderful!
Two precious cards! I love the butterflies, but your sentiments are pretty fab too
I adore the white ink over the embossed surface--so classy! And those butterflies are, too!
