Butterfly Happy Birthday

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

We're back to summer heat so I'll be staying inside as much as possible for
a few days.  I'm glad to have an excuse to take a break on the yard work.

I've been playing with these butterflies a lot lately.  I'm not sure if any of them have
made it to my blog before, but I thought they would work well for the
Freshly Made Sketches #736 by Varina...

and I even used a piece of my hoard of patterned papers.

The butterflies are a die and embossing folder set from Simon Says.
It's my new favorite toy.

This is a stunning card, Bonnie. The gorgeous choice of pre-made background perfectly complements the colors of your butterflies. I love the beautiful pops of color on their wings. The embossing on the sidebar looks very interesting, and adding a piece of patterned background to it ties the card together beautifully.
hugs,
BożenA xx

This is so lovely, Bonnie! I've been surprised by how much I love this sketch and the inspiring results I've seen. Here is one of the prettiest yet with your butterflies (still waiting in my stash) and the pretty watercolor-look designer paper. You know how I love to play with designer paper and I enjoy seeing others use it, too. The white script-embossed panel is the perfect bit of separation to set off those gorgeous butterflies.

You matched those butterflies perfectly with the pattern paper, Bonnie. Very pretty. The embossed script panel makes them stand out beautifully! I don't like it's heating up so quickly outside now although maybe it will bring some needed rain. I'm still in SC, so hopefully will see you before July. Hugs!

The patterned paper is a wonderful background to your trio of pretty butterflies Bonnie and with just that bit of coordinating colour, and a great design with the strip of paper and the contrast of the white scripted piece sandwiched between...a beautiful card. x
