Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
We finally got some rain and after 5 days in a row in the 90s, it was
a welcome relief.
Jen B's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #737 is an easy one.
I pulled out an old calendar page for my main image, cutting it using
an oval die. Since I didn't think you'd care to see the actual calendar, I cut
the bottom off the oval.
After matting it with a nice blue piece of cardstock, I put it on a piece cut
from Nance's cover plate. She brought it for me to play with our last visit and
it was waiting patiently for just the right card to go with.
I may need to use this sketch again, and again.

That sketch is a classic, Bonnie, and you've used every inch of it in all the best ways possible! LOve that pierced background, the dark navy frame and card base really bring the eye toward these lovely wildflowers which are the stars of your card! BEE-u-tiful!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Bonnie!! Your wild flowers are so pretty and look wonderful against the pierced background! Love the little bees you've been adding to your cards lately too...such a sweet addition!! Hugs. :0)
The framed arch is a wonderful way to display the wildflowers, Bonnie, and I love how the pierced background wraps its way around it. Beautiful card, my friend.
Your beautiful floral panel is perfect for the arch cut! I love the way it frames your pretties, and yet adds so much more with the coverplate. Very beautiful, Bonnie
Beautiful card Bonnie. Love your pretty wildflowers framed with that blue arch and the pierced background. Glad you got some rain. We have had a couple of showers here lately and it has been in the 90's also. Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
Very pretty card. Love the wild flowers and the pierced background.
This is a good sketch to use again and again, especially with such pretty stamping as this! I love when you use your old calendar pages. They're so worth another go. Lovely, Bonnie!
The wild flowers are beautiful and such a cute bumble bee too and great to upcycle one of your fab calendar pages Bonnie, and the pierced die cut makes a super background..a wonderful card. x
Love that you subbed an arch shape for the rectangle in Jen's sketch. It highlights your wildflowers beautifully and sits perfectly on that pinpoint background! Thanks, always, for joining FMS!
Such pretty delicate flowers! Love that cover plate to add so much interest to the card!
Such a beautiful card! Love those flowers! Reminds me of our mountain wildflowers! Love that sweet little bee too! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
This is such a pretty take on the sketch, Bonnie! Love the wildflowers. I'm not ready for the 90s, glad you got some relief!
Ilove a bit of a black on a card, but I have to say your navy is gorgeous in each of the frames and the base. My first pair of high heels (sandals) were navy blue...it was summer time and my mom thought black was too mature for me. I loved those shoes and thought navy went well with everything. your card proves that too.
Absolutely beautiful! I love your wildflowers; they're excellent watercolor work. The idea of reusing calendar pages gives these gorgeous illustrations a second life. I love your approach to the sketch; your modifications turned out beautifully. Amazing card, my dear Bonnie.
hugs,

Gorgeous card made from your beautiful calendar Bonnie! Love the design! So happy you've had a bit of rain to break up the hot weather. xx
The arch is beautiful! As is your whole card! Thank you for being a part of our gallery this week at FMS!
Such a pretty card. I save calendars as well, they have so many good pictures on them. Sounds like your friend came prepared with fun thing to play with. The cover plate BFG is perfect for this card. My BFF just came to visit me for a few days about 2 weeks ago, and we exchanged many card bits and pieces as well.
