Bee Sweet

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

My flowers are blooming and I'm still waiting for the bees.
But the  bees are plentiful in the studio.

I had die cut the honeycomb for an earlier bee card and decided not to use it.

I stamped over top with an old wood mount stamp and placed a piece of
yellow smoosh from my backgrounds.

Every now and then I die cut and assemble bees and butterflies to have at
the ready for embellishments. I die cut the bees from Daffodil Delight cardstock
and color the stripes with a black Sharpie.  I love that the wings are
separate and add extra dimension.

Hope you have a sweet weekend!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Sanded (ret SU)
Ink:   So Saffron, Whisper White, Mustard See (for sentiment(
Paper:  Neenah Solar White, Daffodil Delight
Other:  Hexagon Element die (SSS), Buzzing Bumblebees (MB), Black Sharpie, Sweet die (SSS)

Enjoy!

You've been a busy little bee yourself, Bonnie. Your die cut ones are so cute buzzing around the hive.

Sweet card with those cute bees buzzing around. Love your stamped background and the smooshed layer behind the honeycomb. I agree with Michele - a great way to start the day.

A perfectly thought-out project, my dear Bonnie. The panel stamped with the pattern of an old board is like the wood of a beehive, revealing golden honeycombs. A fantastic idea. And those sweet bees always make a wonderful addition to your cards.

It's a miracle! My husband fiddled with my computer today and now I can actually leave a comment on your blog!
I love your beehive - now I am laughing because I thought you were going to say "You're so BEEutiful". Happiness is having a sweet friend like you who makes wonderful cards!

I love that you didn't just relegate this honeycomb to the spare parts pile, but made this fabulous card instead! I love the sentiment with it and the Sanded background (which I still have as well). These are my favorite little bees, too!

I always love seeing your butterflies and bees and that honeycomb was just waiting for your sweet bees to arrive!

Following on from the last post more pretty little bees and die cut honeycomb over the bit of smooshed background and with more terrific stamped interest behind that, and a super stamped and die cut sentiment to finish...a beautiful card Bonnie. x
