Fa La La La La

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've had a ball with these singing snowmen!  They'll be making quite a
few appearances in the next few months.

Only 12 weeks until time to send out Christmas cards. GASP!

These guys are helping to build that Christmas stash and remind me of
how much I love Christmas carols!

Their stage is the last bit of a sheet of patterned paper with musical scales.
It has a bit of sparkle too.

The musical notes are die cuts from the Elfettes
I need to book them for an appearance soon.

Challenges:
Double D  - Musical
Love Those Pretty Papers - Music Background

Falalalala

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I recently got the Snow Notes dies and I've been having a lot of fun putting these
guys and gals together.  Christmas carols are probably my favorite part of the holidays.

This guy wanted to play at Freshly Made Sketches 700th challenge.
700 is a LOT of sketches!

They pulled out sketch 14 to play with this time.

I don't usually do square cards but sometimes I like to make a square out of a
rectangle.  Kind of like this....

I've just started playing at Freshly Made Sketches but I see that I had played there
years ago.  I don't know why I stopped.  Probably had other things going on.

Since the team and several of my friends have shared the first card they had done
for this challenge, here's mine from March 4, 2012 .....

Challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches #700 - Sketch above and below
Love Those Pretty Papers - Used Patterned Paper
NBUS #77 - Never Before Used Schtuff - Snowman Die

Card Recipe

Ink:   Real Red
Paper:  Neenah Solar White, PP (ret SU)

A Sketchy Christmas

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

When I saw the sketch at Jingle Belles, I thought of this set of
Ephemera and patterned paper that I bought several years ago.

I am so bad about using my patterned paper but this time, I made myself cut into it!

The bauble was from a matching ephemera set.  It has a beautiful sheen to it.
I would love a bauble like this to put on my tree.

Challenges:
Jingle Belles - Sketch
Peace on Earth - See the deer on the mood board?
Love Those Pretty Papers - ATG using decorative paper. Did not use the Summer option

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Simple Strips Christmas (TE)
Ink:   Real Red
Paper:   Neenah Natural, Winter Valley DP (Stamperia), Real Re
Other:  Winter Valley Ephemera (Samperia), Simple Strips Die (TE), Whimsy Bloom Bouquet (AS), Stitched Deckle Die (Unity)

Anchor Birthday

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's been a really busy week but I found a few minutes to make a card.

I used the sketch that Jen T. offered up at Freshly Made Sketches.
It's perfect for using some of that hoard of papers in my stash.

I'm afraid that nearly everything used on this card is no longer available.
But it's a great sketch to use up some of that paper.  I think I might make some more.

Challenges:
Krafty Chicks #765 - Masculine
Love Those Pretty Papers - Use patterned paper (did not use the option of Springtime)
The Male Room #197 - Geometric (I have squares and diamonds)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  All Occasions (Jane's Doodles)
Ink:   VersaMark
Paper:   Cinnamon Cider, Gold Foil, World of Good Specialty Paper (ret SU)
Other:  Gold EP, Sailing Home Die (ret SU), Twine (?)

Enjoy!

I Used Some Patterned Paper

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I often say that I'm patterned paper challenged.
I love to buy it and take it out and look at it, but usually can't figure out
what to do with it and put it away for another day.

This paper is so pretty and I've used almost the whole pad.  We used a lot of
it in my last class.  I had this piece leftover.

I did this a little different from the class card and added a larger heart cut from
white cardstock instead of using the eclipse technique.  A few butterflies and a
sentiment stretched across the front changed it up a bit.

This is what the class did...

Maybe I should order some more?

Challenges:
Love those Pretty Papers - Did not use the option of red

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I have a couple of cards using images from my UFO box.

I decided to put these images on oval cards and used some heavy
