Tagged for Christmas

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I know that some of you don't like to see Christmas cards this early.
So I'll try to remember to put Christmas in the title so you'll know not to
take a look.

Last year I got some Greetery items for Christmas.  By then I was tired of making
Christmas cards so the NBUS box was fed. (I have a separate box for Christmas NBUS).

I told myself that I couldn't buy any more Christmas stuff until I used all
that I already had.  Of course I didn't listen.  But I am using these Christmas NBUS and
some Christmas things that were left over from last Christmas season.  The box
is getting lighter.

This ribbon die has a stencil (sold separately) to add shading.  You can't see the
shading well in the photo, but it adds a richness that makes me glad I got the
stencil with it.

I cut it from red cardstock, stenciled in the shading and popped it on top of
an embossed piece.  The Rosemary and Berries die set was also in the NBUS
box and I cut some from scraps of white and used Copics to color them.

When I saw that Carol's Inkspirational Challenge was to add a tag, I was able to add
the tag strip, coverups and toppers that came in the same gift.

I did a ribbon in green too...

and another red one. But I'll share that later.

I admired that ribbon when I saw its release - you've rekindled my admiration, Bonnie! WOW is that a beauty in both red and green and the little bits of greenery and berries you've added are just perfect!

Two beautiful Christmas cards with that ribbon die. The greenery and berries are perfect with it. Personally, I like seeing handmade Christmas cards all year long. That reminds me that I need to get busy on my Christmas cards. Have a great weekend my friend.

With a ribbon that flowy and beautiful you don't need much else to make a fabulous card, Bonnie, but the little berries add a Christmas feel.

Both cards AND both colors are fantastic! I sure do love the ribbon and it's good info to have on the stencil, as I'm not sure I would've picked it. I also LOVE your tags on the first, they're just fun and fancy (love the shape)

This die has been on my wish list and you have me thinking about it again! I love the deep red you used and the pretty little tags on the first one. Your gold sentiment adds elegance to the green version. Two fabulous cards, Bonnie!

I've had that ribbon die in my cart so many times and then I tell myself I don't need it, but after seeing both your beauties I have a feeling it will go back in the cart! They are both so pretty Bonnie, but I think the red one is my favorite! And you can post Christmas all year long as far as I'm concerned...gotta build up that stash sometime!! Hugs. :0)

I finally broke down and purchased that ribbon die during an anniversary sale (I think!) It's in a zippered pouch with other Christmas dies and stamps for cards this year. So happy to see your beautiful cards--such great inspiration! I love them both, and never thought about using green ribbon which I like very much!

That's an amazing ribbon die and I love what you've done with it, all dressed up with greenery, a tag on the first, and a gorgeous gold sentiment on the second. Love the embossing, too. Keep on posting those Christmas cards. We're all just crafters trying to get our cards done. BTW, I have a separate NBUS box for Christmas stuff, too, and I'll be surprised if I get through it this year.

So pretty Bonnie - with the bold red/green colors against the stark white! what a wonderful scrolly ribbon die and sweet die cut design on your tag! Thanks fore joining us at Inkspirational: Add a Tag! Julia xx (well card makers have to make Christmas cards all year long if we are to have enough for when the season is upon us! It's never too early!)
