Bloom with Hope for Fall

I'm busily preparing for a Christmas Stamp Stack
but I wanted to share this little flower.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored
with the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Blendabilities.

The Spellbinder ovals were a birthday present.
Aren't they pretty?
I love how one fits so perfectly into the other.

The sassy bow was going to go at the bottom of the flower
but a smudge changed my mind.
LOL, I hope you don't mind asymmetrical placement!

It seems like I do a lot more smudges lately!

has a CAS challenge this week.

This is the card I CASEd.

That's all for today.  I need to finish setting up.

Bloom with Hope for Queen Dini

I haven't played with the Queen for the Day challenge in quite a while.
It's nice this week to be able to stamp a bit.

This week's Queen is Dini, SCS Artist in Residence.
Wow, what a gallery!

I chose this gorgeous card to CASE (Copy And Share Everything).

I did a little bit of masking and a lot of coloring with the Blendabilities.

I even tried to mix color families.

I like the look.

Hope you do too.

I added a bit of softness to the background by lightly sponging
Soft Sky around the flowers.

is having a CAS week.
I hope this is CAS enough.

And I'm entering again in the
Besides stamps and ink I colored with
alcohol markers and water marker,
sponged background and added ribbon for texture.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy!

Bloom with Hope for Loll

My good friend Loll (Stamping with Loll)
is celebrating her birthday.

Happy Birthday again, my friend.

One of the first cards that I saw of Loll's was lollipops.

This single daisy reminded me of a lollipop
so it had Loll's name on it right away.

I stamped the daisy (it's from a new Stampin' Up! hostess set)
with Smoky Slate and colored the center with a
Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker.

I cut out the flower and the stem
and placed it on my embossed piece with dimensionals.

Then I added some glue over the center and filled it with

The twine is some crochet cotton (the thickest I could find)
that has been dragged through some Gesso.
I let it dry on wax paper and wind on an empty ribbon spool.
I love how it molds easily with my fingers.

The partial embossing is something I saw recently on the Internet.
I usually save these things, but I can't find it now.
If you recognize this as your technique, please let me know
and I'll credit you with it.

I placed some painter's tape on my embossing folder,
using 2 pieces to measure about 1 1/2"

Using tab 1, I put the edge of the cutting plates even
with the bottom of the tape
and ran it through my Big Shot.

Then I repeated the process for the top section.

I love how it leaves a clean spot for the sentiment.

Loll is the hostess for the

I know it's a stretch, but this daisy has a sunny yellow center.
So I'm going to enter this over there.

Bloom with Hope One Layer Watercolor

This is for a special Paper Players Challenge this week.

They're celebrating their 200th challenge!

Well, I guess it's not really a birthday.

The challenge this week is
create a new project based on any one of the challenges presented by our DT

I chose two for this card.

First is Ann Schach's challenge.

also Jaydee's challenge

There's some beautiful cards by the DT.
And the winner of this week's challenge gets all these gorgeous DT cards!

And at Splitcoaststampers, the CAS challenge this week is honoring
Harriet Skelly.

I've been an admirer of Harriet's cards for a long time.

This is the card that was my inspiration.

I'm so glad you could stop by.

Enjoy!
