Carnival Carousel

There are a couple of challenges this week that have to do with carnivals.  So I inked up my Carousel Horse again.

I grew up in a really small town and the annual carnival was something special.  I still remember the smells and sounds and the fun of riding on the carousel.  (We called it the merry-go-round.)  I remember how exciting it was to go fishing for a cheap little toy that we treasured.  What wonderful memories!

I've tried coloring this image in the past and it wasn't pretty.  So I left it as a sketch and added some color with ribbons to imitate the banners and bright colors.

LOVE this one Bonnie. That image is just awesome and you've added the right amount of color. Love the little ribbon banners and the letters on the sentiment colored in different colors.

The image is fabulous left with no color. The ribbon/banners took care of the color. Fabulous card, Bonnie.
Oh, it's almost time for the fair to come to our city (Sept.) and I haven't been since my boys were little. But, I remember the fun.

Love what you did with this stamp. It's one I have as well, and have never done it this way before. After seeing how pretty it is, with the bright banner trims, hmmm...idea time. Lovely, and I remember those same local carnivals, the cheap toys that we were always so proud to take home. Must have been small town America. TFS a beautiful card and a sweet memory too. Hugs
