Oh, what a busy weekend, but I did get a chance to check out the Less is More challenge yesterday. I made a couple of cards for the challenge last night and I've got a few minutes to get them loaded before I'm off and running again. Whew, retirement is a busy way of life!
Anyway, the Less is More challenge #16 is to put a Butterfly or Butterflies on our card. I had lots of butterflies on my cards last week and wanted to do something a bit different for this, so I dug into the stamp drawer. Here is what I came up with.
I used the "kissing technique" on these butterflies. First I inked the stamp with Rich Razzleberry then I "kissed" the stamp with the uninked little flower in this set. It removes the ink where it "kisses"and leaves a little pattern.
The Stamp-a-ma-jig was a big help in lining up these little flutterbys. After I had them stamped, I used the Black SU Marker to color in the body and antennae.
Then I wondered how they'd look in yellow...
This is a little more casual looking and I love the black, yellow and white together. I probably should have left off the spritzing though. Sometimes less is more!

Ink: Rich Razzleberry (card 1), Daffodil Delight (card 2), SU Marker (Basic Black)
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Ticket Corner Punch, Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, Corner Rounder Punch, Basic pearl, Color Spritzer Tool
