Double Stamped Vellum for Christmas

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

More with the Double Stamped Vellum.

I added a little embossing in the corner and a shiny foil sentiment.

This one took a bit of a different turn.  I had a piece that had been watercolored (poorly
watercolored), and I had tried to smoosh it in some gesso to tone it down.
Well, that didn't really help.  But placing it behind the double stamped vellum gave
another dimension and a good place to use this mishap.

Jingle Belles - Embossing
Peace on Earth #23 - ATG Christmas

Four for Christmas

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I don't usually post so many cards at one time, but challenges are closing soon
and now that the year is half over (gasp), I need to build up that
Christmas stash.

First up for Christmas Kickstart #63 - Pawfectly Pawsome

I've colored with Copics and added some stenciled some snowflakes
in the background.  The trio is framed with a die cut.

Next in line is for Jingle Belles - The Man with the Bag.

I used a NBUS Santa stamp for this one.  He's also colored with Copics.
The frame was sitting on my table and I ran a red Sharpie around the opening.
To get the little candy canes going in both directions, I stamped on a piece of acetate
and pressed a snippet of cardstock over it.  It didn't stamp well but was easy to color in
with an Ultra Thin Sharpie and fussy cut.

For Peace on Earth #18 - ATG Christmas/Mood Board below,
Snowy is wearing a paper pieced scarf and cap.  The embossed vellum was in my
Christmas UFO box.  Snowy was colored with Copics and die cut before being
tucked into some torn snowdrifts.

Finally, for Rudolph Days - ATG Christmas
is a remake of a past Christmas card that I'd disassembled because I wasn't
happy with it.  I popped it on another embossed piece from my UFO box
and stamped a sentiment.  I like this much better than before.

If you have stuck with me through all this, thank you.

Four Calling Birds

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by.

I've been working on my Christmas card stash.

I've pulled out an old wood mount stamp that I love.  It gave me another option
for Susan's 12 Days of Christmas challenge.

I did it in blue too.  Looks like there was a blizzard on this one.

I've stamped both with Memento ink and colored with Copics.

The sentiments are computer generated and I used some
heat embossing and dry embossing.

Challenges:
CAS Christmas - 12 Days of Christmas
Christmas Kickstart - Snow is Falling
Krafty Chicks #520 - Christmas

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Evergreen Holiday for Rudolph Days

Hello friends.  I'm so glad you stopped by today!

I have more Christmas cards to share.

Both cards are made from a stamp set that I won from Rudolph Days last year.

I am so glad to finally have had time to use this beautiful set!

This first card was done by placing the stamp in my MISTI, inking
with markers and using a damp water brush to blend the color.

I always have trouble with the red and the first try had so many smears
that it wasn't usable.

It's a good thing that there are two sides to the paper!

This card was done the same way as the first except that I inked the ornament
on another snippet of mixed media paper.

I smacked it with a WOW Embossing pad and embossed it with clear powder.

Then came the tricky part of cutting it out and keeping it round.

I've added it with a dimensional and the frame is also popped up.

I have added Wink of Stella on both cards but the camera didn't see it.

They shimmer nicely when the light hits them.

My stash of Christmas cards is growing and that makes me happy!
