Sunflower Birthday

This is the birthday card I made for our youngest daughter's birthday.

I've used a gorgeous 6" x 6" stencil on mixed media paper.
I sprinkled some Brusho crystals over the stencil and sprayed with water.
This is a technique that my dear friend Loll showed on her blog.
You can see a video using this technique here.

Another good friend, Nancy Littrell (scandinancycreates), is hosting
a DTGD challenge at Splitcoaststampers.
This is an annual, one week challenge for fan club members at SCS whose
dues help pay expenses for keeping this site going.
I haven't been playing in this challenge this year but I wanted to join in
with Nancy's challenge.

and since I sprayed water on those Brushos, I'm going to add this to the gallery at
CAS Mix Up
I used stamping, stenciling, Brushos with water spray and vellum.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

This is gorgeous Bonnie ... great use of those Brushos and I do love that sunflower stencil. In fact after seeing it on Loll's blog I just had to track it down. It didn't take me too long and thankfully it's now on it's way. Enjoy the weekend my friend xx

Gorgeous Bonnie. I can't seem to get the same beauty from Brushos & stencils that you and Loll get. I will have to try again.

OH MY! This is stunning Bonnie! I love this sunflower stencil and you and Loll have made such beautiful cards with it! I love the brusho colors you used, and the vellum, well that just lets that sentiment float on the card and gives an added softness to it. Love that sentiment! Hugs, Brenda

Bonnie, you really captured the colours of the sunflower with your brushos. It looks beautiful with all the variation in colour. And I love the sentiment - both what it says, and the way it's done on the vellum.
