Petal Perfection

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

The weather reports are all predicting some really cold temperatures
and freezing precipitation over much of the United States.  We are as
prepared as we can be and expecting freezing rain.  Hopefully we won't lose
power but in case we do, I'm posting this card now.

I used Jen T.'s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches to make a birthday card for
my sister-in-law.

I used the stencil from the Petal Perfection stencil and die set to color some
flowers and die cut them to arrange in place of the circles in Jen's sketch.

Since I used a stencil, I'll share this at Just Us Girls where Bobby is asking for
anything using a stencil.

I pray that we all stay safe through this storm and maybe get some
crafty time during it.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Banner Sentiments (PTI)
Ink:   Elegant Eggplant, Wilted Violet, Bundled Sage
Paper:   Neenah Solar White
Other:  Large Words EF (Kwan Crafts), Petal Perfection Stencils and Die (PFS)

Enjoy!

Snowman Hugs

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

We finally had a little snowstorm.  It lasted about 10 minutes.
It was so pretty!

Not enough for a snowman so I had to go with paper.

I found some blues in my background box.  I think they were mop ups, but I
hadn't written down what I did.

I cut an oval and embossed it then swiped some white ink over the raised snowflakes.

This little bundled snowman was a Christmas present.

The layout is Judy's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and the colors from Inkspirational.

Challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches #719 - Judy's sketch below
Inkspirational #359 - Visual Prompt-Shades of Blue

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Snow Flourish (IO-OOB)
Ink:   Whisper White, Blueberry Bushel
Paper:  Neenah Solar White, Mixed Media, Watercolor, White Glimmer
Other:  Capsule Basics die, Shortbread Shapes Snowflake EF (Grtry), Bundled Snowman die (SSS), Kars Snow EF (ret Cuttlebug)

Happy Birthday Double D

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've been having lots of fun playing with some Christmas presents.

The Rosemal collection really caught my eye and I asked Santa for it for my
Christmas gift.  I'm so glad he complied!

The embossing is amazing and you know how much I love my embossing folders.
The flowers were cut from mixed media paper and colored with re-inkers.
I love all the details and dimension that the die cut pieces add!

Happy Birthday Double D!

It doesn't seem like it could be TEN YEARS that we've been enjoying
Darlene and Diane's Double D Challenge!

Thank you for ten years of fun, ladies.  I hope there will be many more years
of challenges from you!

Challenges:
Double D - Tenth Birthday (woot woot)

Recycled Christmas Tags

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's not too soon to start on the 2026 Christmas cards!

And these tags were too pretty to sit in the wrapping box all year.

I'm not sure of all the supplies since the tags were made by friends.

And one more....

All the tags were popped onto an embossed background.

Easy peasy!

Deer in the Pines

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

The challenges are starting back after the holiday hiatus.

The pile of pieces that didn't get on a card is calling to me and I
managed to work one into last week's Freshly Made Sketch.

The trick is to use those pieces without adding to the pile.

Now that's a challenge!

Challenges:

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Fun Birthday Sentiments (HLS-OOB)
Ink:   VersaMark, Crumb Cake, Brushed Corduroy DI
Paper:   Betterpress Porcelain, Baked Brown Sugar, Natural

Decoy Birthday

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I may have mentioned that my hubby likes ducks and decoys so I pulled out
an old wood mount stamp for his birthday card.

There's some reeds in the background of this stamp and I wanted to go
with just the decoy.  So I did a little fussy cutting and colored with
Copics.  He really liked it because he used to have a decoy like this.

Challenges:
Seize the Birthday - (did not use the option)
Neglected Stuff - Use old neglected stuff (decoy stamp)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Decoy (IO)
Ink:   Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Merry Merlot, Black
Other:   Copics, Cracked Large EF (TH)

Enjoy!

Flower Garden Fancy

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I had a few minutes to try out a new coverplate die that I got for Christmas.

It cut really well and it makes for a quick card.

Narelle's sketch was still fresh in my mind from the last Freshly Made Sketches
and it worked beautifully to let this die cut show through.

I found this butterfly already cut out and ready to find a place to perch.
It was cut from a piece of smooshed background.

A couple of label die cuts, a quick stamping and some glue and
it was done.

Challenges:
Just Us Girls #804 - Die Week-Use a coverplate die
NBUS #82 - Never Before Used Schtuff
Triple B - Birds, Butterflies & Blooms - Butterfly (I didn't go by the photo, but isn't it pretty?)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Bouquet of Thanks (MFT)
Ink:   Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:  Soft Seafoam, Neenah Solar White, Watercolor
Other:  Flower Garden Fancy Coverplate Die (HA), Stitched Butterfly Trio (PS), Decorative Sentiment Dies (EMD-Emily Moore Designs)

Enjoy!
