Three Leaves

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I pulled out an old and much loved die set for this card.

I used Jen B's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this card.  Here's the sketch...

It seemed like it begged for long, skinny leaves.

These leaves were cut from watercolor paper and colored with Distress re-inkers.

Other:  Layering Leaves die (C9), Words of Gratitude die (PB), Subtle EF (ret SU), Distress re-inkers (Candied Apple, Barn Door, Fired Brick, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint)

Enjoy!

Blessing

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I noticed a bit of red in the maple tree a couple of days ago.
I love fall and all the warm colors that come with it.
The feeling went with me to the studio.

I love the colors at Color Throwdown but wasn't quite sure what to do with it.
The maple leaves gave me an idea.

I pulled out my leaf dies and found some colored and some plain leaves already
cut and ready to go.  Some re-inkers and water took care of the plain ones.
(There was an aqua leaf already colored.)

I had this NBUS stamp and die waiting to be used and it seemed a perfect place
to plant some leaves.

Challenges:
Color Throwdown #839 - Aqua, Red & White
Time Out Challenges #296 - Friendship, Encouragement, Support
NBUS #77 - Never Before Used Schtuff (stamp and label die)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Reflections Numbers 6 (PTI)
Ink:   Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:   Pool Party, Neenah Solar White
Other:  Reflections Numbers 6 die (PTI), Leaves dies (MFT & Cross Cut)

Enjoy!

Couple of Cups

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Among my many beautiful handmade birthday cards, was a gorgeous cup with
watercolor flowers on a red background.  I'll share the card with you later in this post.

Included with the card though was the cup die set and floral stamp set that she used.
And I had so much fun playing with them.

I CASED her card using different colors and butterflies instead of hearts.

Since I'm so in the mood for Autumn and I was having so much fun with it, I did another
using some Fall colors.

This time I CASEd her card using a different part of the floral stamp and different colors.

Here's her card. (She doesn't blog so I can't link to it.) But she told me it was a
CASE of this card she'd seen on the Internet. (I'd seen it too and loved it.)

Joy Wreath

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm trying to build my Christmas stash.  I got off to a slow start this year.

For this card, I pulled out an old wreath die that I've had for years and haven't
used enough.  I don't know why because it's fun to color.

After die cutting from Neenah Solar White, I colored with Copics.

It was placed on an embossed background, topped with a red die cut bow, and
finished with a die cut Joy from the same set.

This particular die has been discontinued, but there are lots of other
wreath dies on the market.

Challenges:
Christmas Kickstart #101 -  Let's Wreath it Up
Inkspirational #348 - Clean and Simple
Neglected Stuff - Not used in a long time

Card Recipe
Stamps:
Ink:
Paper:  Neenah Solar White, Kraft, Real Red
Other:  Joy Wreath dies (CP), Copics (G43, G12, G29, G46, G99, YG67, E13, R29), Pinewood Planks EF (SU), Whimsy Blooms Bouquet bow (AS)

Enjoy!
