Moon Lake

This is the card I did for my DH's birthday.

I think I've mentioned that he likes ducks.

I know this is a goose, but he likes them too.

This is a stamp from the Moon Lake set in the new Occasions Catalog.

It's a great set for those guy cards.

I stamped in Memento Black, used the Blender Pen to make some gray on him,
and sponged around him.

Hubby brought down an old birthday card to sit with this on the mantle.

I see it has the same sentiment inside.

I think I need to remember to change it next year.

MAKE NEW FRIENDS BUT KEEP THE OLD
I've used a new stamp and an old technique (Sponging)
Simon Monday Challenge Blog

TAKE TWO
I've used 2 kinds of embossing (a folder and metal plate,
also, the goose and cattails make 2 images.)

USE SOMETHING NEW
This is a new stamp.

first time using this stamp

My Dad isn't doing well and we will be going to visit him
so I won't be around to comment for a few days.

Thanks for visiting.

Enjoy!

What a fabulous card, Bonnie! I love how you've made such a softly-colored card but completely masculine. Stitching and woodgrain are the perfect textures too!

Lovely card Bonnie. It was the first set I chose from the new catty but haven't inked it up yet! I though it would go perfectly with the Wetlands set!

I am sorry your dad is not doing well ,Bonnie. I will keep him in my prayers.
Love the card for your DH perfect for him and the shading is beautiful. Funny about the sentiment I was just thinking about that when I sent my sons...so I changed it.

This is not what I'm used to seeing from you Bonnie, but I love it. It is very masculine and very well done. I love the woodgrain behind the well sponged background.

Bonnie, a very special card for your special guy. You know I'm loving the background and this was the perfect stamp to top the soft coloring. If a sentiment is a perfect fit, then hey, it works all the time, right???? I hope your trip goes ok, and that you brighten up things with your visit. Thoughts are with you. See ya when you get back and settled in again. Big Hugs. TFS

I thought that was funny, that it had the same message on the inside as last year's card. I think that shows you really mean it!
