Decoy Birthday

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I may have mentioned that my hubby likes ducks and decoys so I pulled out
an old wood mount stamp for his birthday card.

There's some reeds in the background of this stamp and I wanted to go
with just the decoy.  So I did a little fussy cutting and colored with
Copics.  He really liked it because he used to have a decoy like this.

Challenges:
Seize the Birthday - (did not use the option)
Neglected Stuff - Use old neglected stuff (decoy stamp)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Decoy (IO)
Ink:   Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Merry Merlot, Black
Other:   Copics, Cracked Large EF (TH)

Enjoy!

Memories of things current or by-gone can have a great impact, well done on coloring his decoy just the way he liked it! This is great with the crackled background and matching stripes

Gosh, this looks amazing for a masculine card, Bonnie! The decoy looks very authentic, and I love it on the woodgrain. Beautifully done!

This is a cute decoy duck Bonnie, and the background, and the deep red and black strip makes the perfect resting place for the duck and a nice large coordinating die cut Happy Birthday too to finish. I hope he had a lovely birthday. x

You used this stamp beautifully, cutting out just the duck you needed to make a card for your husband. Great job with the precise cutting, and you colored it beautifully with markers. I'm sure your husband will be thrilled to see the card with the duck decoy, which he loves. It's truly wonderful that you went to so much trouble to make him so happy on his birthday. Happy Birthday to your Husband.
