Roses All Over Blended

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Today I'm joining in with Heather Telford's Floral Faves Watercolour Class.

For this card I've used one of the techniques she shared and have one
finished product to show.

I actually made quite a mess out of it.

My embossing didn't take very well as sometimes happens when I try to stamp
and heat emboss a large stamp.  I continued on with her technique of coloring.

As I was looking at it and trying to figure out how to salvage at least some of it,
the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge popped up in my email
and gave me an idea.

Instead of a balloon, I die cut an oval and was able to cover
up the bad spots with the sentiment strips.

For the bottom, I heat embossed the bottom of the card with the same stamp.

You can see it better here.

I added a small strip from the edge of the colored piece and a couple die cut leaves.

I hope that's okay.

Sunflower Fun

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I love sunflowers!  They always make me smile with their bright, happy faces!

This sunflower had one petal that was really awful.
I learned not to go back in with a bright orange!

This little bee was just the right size to cover up most of the disaster.

It was inked and stamped with Distress inks on Neenah cardstock.

I used a slightly damp brush to move the ink around.

When dry, I added highlights and lowlights with watercolor pencils.

The Flower Challenge - Favorite flower (this is definitely one of my favorites)

More Fun with Santa

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm playing with the Christmas Kickstart Challenge where I'm Jo's Guest Elf this month.

I used another image from this fun Christmas sELFies stamp set from MFT.

It's been stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copics.

It fit perfectly inside a square cut with a double pierced square die.

The background has been stamped embossed more than once with a Pine Bough
embossing folder.

I hope you'll join Jo & I at Christmas Kickstart.

More Rainbow Inking for CAS Mix Up

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

There's still time to join in Susan's stenciling challenge at CAS Mix Up.

Our fabulous Design Team and Guest Designer, Michele have lots of inspiration
to share with you.

This time I've used Eileen Godwin's technique to add blended colors and a
Tim Holtz stencil for the background.

A NBUS Lavinia stamp tops it off.

When I trimmed the black piece a little, I had these curly pieces.
I'm not sure I'm crazy about them.  They look a little snakey.
What do you think?
