Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Today I have two similar cards to add to my Christmas stash.
I pulled out an old favorite die for Donna's Sketch #744 at
I fear that I took too much artistic license with this. I hope that's okay.
I needed to put the strip on top because it would show through the vellum. And I
think I'm missing a layer. Oh well. Hopefully it's close enough. And I'm happy to
have another Christmas card in my stash.
Actually it's two for my stash. I did this one too while I was at it....
Both cards have snowflakes embossed in the background with white ink
patted on top.
I put a piece of vellum in the aperture, added a bird and berry branch.
The branch was cut from white cardstock and colored with Sharpies. I added
some Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the berries for shine. The chickadee is watercolored.
The gold bird was die cut from gold foil cardstock and embossed with my
Subtle Embossing Folder.

There's no such thing as 'too much' when it comes to making our sketches your own, Bonnie! First of all, that 'old favorite' die was such a great starting point for Donna's polaroid idea! Filling it with these darling little birds on branches was brilliant! Thanks so much for making this one your own!

My favorite little bird - so sweet. Love the snowflake background. If only I could look forward to snow where I live.

These are just so sweet, and I think they fit the sketch perfectly! I believe I may have that die too! The snowflake background is so pretty!
Had to chuckle a bit when I saw your cards Bonnie as I almost used this same die for the polaroid frame on my card! We were definitely thinking alike and I think this frame works perfectly for the sketch! I love how you put the vellum behind it and how pretty it looks with the branch and birdie!! Sweet, sweet cards my friend and YAY for 2 more for the Christmas stash! Hugs. :0)
Your bird Christmas cards are perfect for the sketch IMHO, Bonnie. That die was a great one to fill with the sweet little birds.
Oh I love that chickadee(?) on a branch and what a great frame with the sentiment built in! Two great cards and yay for adding to your Christmas card stash! Thanks for joining us this week at FMS and playing with my sketch!
They both look fantastic to me! I love the embossed background and the vellum you added to your die cut. Two wonderful cards, Bonnie!
