Featuring Julie with Gently Falling Leaves

Last week's Featured Stamper at SCS was Julie (aka Humma).  Julie has some wonderful cards.  I chose this card to CASE.  Julie used flip flops but I'm ready to see some Fall colors!

And do you see that envelope?  Mr. Brown delivered my Envelope Punch Board.

Envelope Punch Board

I hated that Stampin' Up! retired their long, open ended envelopes. They were a favorite at my classes and with my customers.  Now I can make them, quick as a wink.  I used a piece of Decorative Paper that a friend had given me.  The color was perfect and with a label for the address makes a wonderful complement to the card.  Let me know if you want one of these. The price is only $19.95 and I think that's a bargain!  If you click on the picture on my sidebar you can see a video of how this works.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Gently Falling, Bright Blessings Wheel (retired; hint, I took it off the wheel and cut apart the sentiments)
Ink: Crushed Curry, More Mustard (retired)
Paper:  Watercolor (Strathmore), Decorative Paper (?)
Other:  Twine (my stash), Stampin' Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig

I inked the full leaf with Crushed Curry and stamped down the side of the card then stamped a few on a scrap of watercolor paper.  Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the outline stamp, I overstamped with More Mustard.  I cut out 3 from the scrap and laid them atop with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I tied a little bow with some waxed beading twine and glued it to one of the popped up leaves.  The card measures 3 1/4" x 6 1/4".

Challenges

SCS Free 4 All Challenge let's use a bit of gold on your creations! And, bonus if your card has an Autumnal Theme...or some other idea inspired by this poem by Robert Frost.

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Enjoy!
