I'm finally catching up a bit on the
Online Watercolor Class
On day 8, Lauren Bassen showed how to paint using a stencil.
I used an embossing folder as a guide instead of a stencil.
I dry embossed onto watercolor paper and colored with re-inker and my Aqua Brush.
I really need to try this with watercolor paint.
I know my ink colors so I automatically go to them.
The little dragonfly is stamped on vellum to give the wings a transparent look.
Now I really want to watercolor and nothing else.
But I need to cut sets for a class coming up this week.
Then I'm going to play!
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy!

Beautiful card Bonnie, I'm glad this tranquil card popped up before I head off to work, Cathy x
Bonnie, this is beautiful! Interesting the way you used the dry embossing from a folder to achieve such a pretty look. The butterfly in vellum is outstanding too! Fantastic card!

This is so beautiful!! Well done!
This is lovely and what a fun and innovative way to use embossing as a guide, I like the added dimension through the dragonfly :)
I've never seen this embossing folder but it is perfect for this technique. The coloring is wonderful and the addition of the dragonfly is so special (I didn't want to say wonderful again. lol)
LOVE it! It is gorgeous!
Nice job on this, Bonnie! They make it look so easy in class but when we go to try it on our own... Go, girl!
Excellent Bonnie!
Very pretty, Bonnie. I don't know if I could have done that with dry embossing. You did a wonderful job.
I like what you have done here. I think I might give this a try. Thanks for the inspiration.
Really gorgeous card Bonnie! The dragonfly has such fabulous dimension!
Really lovely Bonnie ... and so clever to use an embossing folder. Loll xx

Beautiful water colouring Bonnie!
Beautiful colouring and card, I know just a small amount about watercolouring as I went to a class many years ago, so can see why you are so enthusiastic about it.
This is beautiful, Bonnie! The dragonfly is a nice touch, too--looks realistic. You're right about how the classes make everything look so easy, but it takes a lot of practice to get watercoloring techniques down. I'm still working on those lessons. What a great way to paint a scene with your ef!
Oh My! This is beautiful Bonnie. Love it.
Hugs

Beautiful!!!
Bonnie, seriously. Stunning! Hugs, Darnell
Beautifully done, Bonnie! I love the soft greens and the sweet vellum dragonfly!
So delicate and pretty. The watercolouring is perfect for your scene. x

What a great idea to use an embossing folder to use as a guide when watercoloring! It turned out beautifully, Bonnie.
Ooo, that embossing folder idea is ingenious!! LOVE the effect!!! And the sweet dragonfly is awesome!
This really blows me away, Bonnie! Looks like a painting! You need to frame your cards!
