Merry Monday Skates

It's Merry Monday time again.

Thank you all for joining in wishing LeAnne a

Happy Birthday last week.

This week the uber talented Nina chose our challenge.

I love this image and I had found a die on sale at

 Archiver's when they were closing up.

Who could pass up 75% off?

Crafty time is as rare as hens' teeth around here lately.

It took 4 days to get this all together!

I die cut the skates from a snippet of white and a snippet of silver foil.

After cutting off some of the silver, and the blades from the white, 

I adhered them together then lightly sponged around the

edges with Sahara Sand and colored the heel with a marker.

I used my paper piercer to poke the holes and threaded up 

some DMC white embroidery floss and "laced" them up.

The DSP was a snippet left from a piece a friend gave me.

I have no idea of the maker.

I used the Stitched Mats Rectangles dies for all the layers 

and used a snippet of that  retired Sage Shadow for the middle layer.

I stamped the banner from the retired 

Take it to Heart set

with the sentiment from

More Merry Messages.
