Good morning peeps.
It's Merry Monday time.
Awesome Nina is our hostess this week.
What a perfect opportunity to use my favorite set
from the Holiday Mini Catalog, Ornamental Pine!
I even sponged around the edges for a vintage look
and didn't end up throwing it away!
LOL, I think I finally learned to use a light touch.
But I had to do a clean version too.
I got the idea of using the pine cones from Brian King
who was our awesome Guest Designer last month.
That post led me to Amy Whelan's blog for the how-to.
Thank you both for this idea.
I love it!
is led by our friend LeAnne this week.
That first card looks vintage to me.
Karren said I should link this to Just Us Girls Challenge.
They're looking for wreaths.
I used Baked Brown Sugar ink and stamped the pine cones 3 times without re-inking.
Then I took out the masking circle and turned the pine cones around
stamping around the circle again with the tops pointing in.
(When I made pine cone wreaths, I always had the pine cones going every which way.)
This was lots of fun and much easier than making a real wreath!
Which way do you like the best
Clean or dirty distressed?
I can't wait to see what you come up with for our rustic challenge this week.
Thanks for the visit.
Enjoy!

can't really decide which i like better as the design is wonderful either way - if i really had to vote it would be the distressed - love the casual bow
A lovely classic looking design. I must admit, my favourite is the 'clean' version, but they are both stunning. x
Both are so beautiful and I love love that set of stamps. The red bow just tops off a very elegant looking card. Love it.

I love both your cards but since you asked, I like clean cards better. When I have a piece of design paper that has ditressing printed in the design, I cut the edges off! But I still admire other card makers cards that do distressing.
It's just a matter of preference. :)
PS, I love how you made the wreath with the pinecones! I'm going to try that!
Wow! Bonnie I am in love with these cards. I love both but as I am into distressed I favour the first just a lickle bit. I am going to have to CASE this if you don't mind. Awesome job!
Hugs
xx
They're both beautiful, Bonnie. Being a clean and crisp type person, I will chose the second one, but both are great.
Great cards Bonnie. I'm going with the clean one as my fave though! I do like BOTH!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Beautiful, Bonnie! I love the pine cone wreath - and what gorgeous colors!
Both cards are really beautiful Bonnie. LOVE the idea of stamping the wreath from pine cones ... and perfect for the vintage look. Baked Brown Sugar is one of my favourite browns from SU! :) Will give this a try. I have stamped wreaths using pine needles and leaves before, but not just pine cones ... it looks so amazing. Love both the clean and distress versions. My favourinte ribbon is the scrunched one ... you'll see over the next few days that I've used it many times on my tag event! :) Loll xx
I would never have guessed these were pinecones, Bonnie! Your wreath looks fantastic and I think your sponging is perfect! PS: You should enter this card at Just Us Girls who are looking for wreath cards this week.
Both cards are lovely Bonnie. What a fun idea with the pine cones, I love it.
I really love these Bonnie . That pinecone stamped many different ways makes a gorgeous wreath. I think I love the first one best .might be that wrinkley red bow that I really love.
I like them both! I have a terrible time distressing, but your card looks just perfect. This is such a fun idea, too!
I love the wreath you made with the pinecone! Wonderful card! Sue N
Just placed an order for this ornamental pine. Love the way you've used it to make the gorgeous golden wreath. Good thinking 'out of the box'. Love the colors on this pretty card. TFS & Hugs
Gorgeous card, Bonnie! Just love this design and that wonderful pine cone wreath! Amazing! :)
Wow this color combo looks beautiful :) red is so striking !
Gorgeous gorgeous cards <3 love them both and that bow is a show stopper it really looks beautiful
Both gorgeous, I am not usually a "dirty" preference girl, but I really like the distressed look and especially the bow!
I love these, Bonnie! Both are gorgeous but I am more of a CAS girl. :) Hope you are having a great week so far. It is getting colder up here but no snow so far. :)
Beautiful and Greetings back to you!

You really aced the Merry Monday challenge and achieved a fabulous rustic look! I'm mixed on which card I like best - I like the cleanness of the second, but I love the bow on the first!
You inspired me to give this a try! I left out the layers and stamped directly on the card front, daring... but it turned out fine. Yours is very pretty with the extra layers and that gorgeous bow.
Very pretty. Love them both. Great job making that wreath. Love it.
This is gorgeous Bonnie! Love your pine wreath!!!
Deanne :)
They're both beautiful, Bonnie, but I keep being drawn to the second one--love it!
Oh my goodness, what a clever way to use the pine cone from this set! Love it, Bonnie. The pop of red on the ribbon is just perfect...so glad to be working with you at MM this month!
Great idea to use the pine cone! This wreath is just so pretty (both versions!)! Thanks for playing with Just Us Girls!
Beautiful pine cone wreath!
Thanks for joining us this week at Just Us Girls!
This is rustic and fabulous goodness, Bonnie - lovely!
Love that the wreath is made from a pine cone stamp! I gotta try this! What a gorgeous card! Thanks for joining us this week at Just Us Girls!
Stunning! Such amazing dimension from a pine cone!!
Yay, Congrats on your win over at JUGS.
Your pine cone wreath looks gorgeous and I just love the gold! Congrats on your win - very well deserved - hugs xx
Congrats on your win at JUGS, Bonnie! So deserving!
Well shut the front door, I would have never thought to use the pine cone to make a wreath with it! I will have to give this a try for sure. I love both cards Bonnie! I love rustic and distress, but I also love the CAS one. So I can't pick which I like better, it depends on the circumstance and who the card would be going to. lol Oh well, what can I say, I just love them both! Hugs, Brenda
