I was undecided whether to put this card on my blog.
But, here goes!
I stamped the tree a couple of times with Whisper White craft ink
and embossed with white embossing powder.
Then I sponged the background.
I've been practicing with my sponging and have had
a lot of help and encouragement from a dear friend.

and embossed with silver.
I wish I'd left them off.

Well, I LOVE this card. I'm not sure why you don't like the silver snow flakes. I think the colors and the layers are just gorgeous--the tree too. Don't be so hard on yourself!! =D

I have this tree, just this tree and not the set. Bought it off of ebay a least a decade ago. It's a keeper and so is your card!

This is such a gorgeous card. The silver snowflakes do not detract from the overall loveliness of this card. It is a very serene scene.

This is indeed a lovely layout and the sponged background looks great! I've never used white ink before but is gives great coverage and depth to the embossing.
