I bought some little canvases at one of the craft stores.
They were on sale.
Very cheap.
Unfortunately they were coated with something that water wouldn't penetrate.
Solution....
I cut watercolor paper to fit,
did a watercolor wash on the background,
stamped and painted the images.
I hope the paper sticks for a long time.
Since little things on the table end up getting knocked off,
I hung them in the dining room
opposite this art.
What do you think?
They actually hang straight. |
I'm going to take them over to
ANYTHING GOES
and
NO ORDINARY PAPER
I used watercolor paper on the canvas.
I'm so glad you could stop by.
I appreciate all your comments.
I'll catch up to you very soon.
I hope....
Enjoy!

If you ever decide to take them down, they can come to my house! Absolutely beautiful Bonnie!! :0)
Fabulous little pieces of art!
Beautiful Bonnie! You could seal them with matte Mod Podge which would stop the paper peeling off.
They look lovely . Don't suppose you used any washi tape to stick them? Hugs Mrs A.
Great save Bonnie and beautiful home decor! I always think your work should be put in a frame and on the wall. Hope you have a great weekend.
I was so tired after the girls and then more came, I know we are both blessed!
Such a lovely creation! The images are so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. :)
What beautiful art - love how you 'saved' the canvases with watercolour paper.
Blessings

I'm impressed. Soon, hopefully real soon, I am going to work on some art for our bedroom. I decorate in the coastal theme and would like to use some old SU! shell stamps. Love the watercolor techniques. Happy Weekend :) Barb
Great idea to top your little canvases with watercolour paper! Love your sweet images and the contrast between the soft background colours and vibrant image colours!
I think you need to start selling your incredible home art, Bonnie! You have found yourself a second hobby, my friend!! Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell
What great home decor! Love these little masterpieces, Bonnie!
Beautiful!
What I think is that you have a discerning eye to pick up the canvases on sale and do something splendid with them. Each one is just a tiny work of art, and attaching them to the hanger to display them on a wall is inspired thinking! I think each little canvas is a work of art. You can enjoy them each day. TFS & Happy Sunday
All three canvases are so beautiful Bonnie. Love the soft, delicate washed backgrounds and images. Great job! I have just bought two watercolour canvas boards and looking forward to playing with them. :) xx
