The challenge ends on the 24th.
Here's my last card (for now) using corrugated cardboard.
This is the last watercolor piece I did on our recent trip.
I thought he would do well as a goldfinch.
The goldfinches in our yard are more olive and brown in the winter.
In the spring they start getting their yellow feathers and they
look quite patchwork as they are turning.
I noticed one recently that had 3 "patches" on his back.
(No photo though.)
I mounted the die cut watercolor piece on a piece of
corrugated cardboard cut from a box of NBUS.
Susan's challenge has been lots of fun!
My mixed media are stamping, corrugated cardboard, watercoloring, and die cutting.
Here's a photo of the real thing in his summer feathers.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Lovely card, Bonnie. I like the effect of the corrugated paper behind your beautiful goldfinch and reed topper. Sadly, we rarely see goldfinches in our garden. xx
Oh that is gorgeous Bonnie! That sweet little bird looks like a miniature painting! It looks great on that corrugated cardboard panel too! Fancy living somewhere where you are blessed with such sweet garden visitors! Have a wonderful day my friend! Luv n’ Hugs. Hazel xx

Beautifully colored goldfinch image, Bonnie. I love how you mounted your bird over your corrugated background. Hasn't this been just the most creative and fun challenge this month?!? TFS all your cards my friend. Hugs..
Can't wait for our goldfinches to show up in the golden glory :-)
Doesn't the corrugated board make for a wonderful textured framing!?! Your watercolored goldfinch is so pretty Bonnie! Julia xx
Can't wait for the goldfinches to come back to my feeder - they don't stick around here in the winter - too cold! Love your card - the colours go so well with the corrugated cardboard. And it would make a perfect masculine card. Thanks so much for doing so many cards for my challenge - I was worried there wouldn't be much response!
What I wouldn't give to be able to watercolor like THIS! It's beautiful, Bonnie. You left some gorgeous highlights on those cattails. Love it!
A stunning card Bonnie - and I love the photo of your finch - he is very colourful
Blessings
Maxine
So beautiful, Bonnie! Love that sweet little bird! This would be a great masculine card.
Gorgeous work on the yellow finch. Ours are currently still sort of gray-green, but you can see the color is starting to change. This guy looks pretty handsome perched in the cattails and mounted on the rustic corrugated mat. TFS & Hugs
Ah, geez, you know how much I love birdies so your real thing photo stole the show for me, Bonnie! What card?, lol! No, just kidding, your card is memorable! It's a perfect combo of a lovely image and rustic texture that would work for either gender! Hugs, Darnell
This piece is truly delicate, the soft natural tones and the beautiful watercoloring are perfect. The brown corrugated panel gives it the perfect finish! xx
