Alcohol Swirls for CAS Mix Up

Hi there.

It's the middle of the month and time for a reminder for
CAS Mix Up

While playing with the alcohol inks, I tried just twisting the felt applicator.

I love the swirls so I filled the piece of glossy paper with them.

I should have written down the colors.

Sometimes I get so excited that I don't write things down and just can't remember what I used.

Do you do that?

I found this butterfly in my butterfly box.  I loved that you could still see the swirls
when I plopped him on.

I used vellum for the sentiment so it wouldn't cover up all the movement.
After stamping, I heat embossed it so it would show up really nice
and not smear.

There's still time to join in the challenge at
Using stamping, alcohol ink, die cuts, vellum and heat embossing.

also adding to  Concord & 9th
Happy Birthday C&9

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

OMG Bonnie...I LOVE your alcohol ink swirls my friend!! I must try your technique. The movement of your background is so perfect for your die cut butterfly. Love how your sentiment on vellum does not cover up your pretty swirls. TFS Hugs

Wonderful movement in your beautiful, swirly, alcohol ink background Bonnie! How cool is that??!! And yes, I forget all the time to write down AI colours. I'm usually good about everything else ... strange, right??!! Your black butterfly and sentiment add some drama. Fantastic combination with the AI swirls. xx

What a fabulous piece Bonnie my friend, no wonder you didn't want to cover it up! Beautiful colours too and that big, bold, black butterfly just pops against it, and yes, I too forget to write down what I've done and used, and then can't recreate it! Have a wonderful evening! Love & Hugs. Hazel xx

I love this card! Using the felt applicator to create that look and combined with that butterfly die is just so good...plus the embossed on vellum sentiment. Your design skills are truly amazing. I have that Concord die, which I first saw on one of your cards a while ago, so guess who is going to CASE this asap. I have a thing for butterflies.

Great technique with the AIs, Bonnie - I must try that! Love the simple butterfly and vellum sentiment over it - allowing the swirls to really show up. You're not alone - I'm always forgetting to write down my colour names!

Another gobsmackin' card, Bon-Bon!! You keep on inspiring us! And, yeah, oh, yeah, I forget. Especially if the thing is from the UCB box. I just did a post saying a diecut came from the BABES, but Greta reminded me that, um, she actually sent them to me! Thank goodness my friends have good memories!! Hugs, Dolly
