Here's the piece after watercolor and Sea Salt were added and it was left to dry.
I used the left side for this card.

Jack was helping me do "science experiments" with the salt.
He didn't like his pieces but he agreed to let me keep them and use them.
His mom's birthday was coming up and she asked for a card using some of Jack's work.
You can't see the shimmer on the flower, but Jack was fascinated with the
silver and white paints and I die cut the flower from a piece of that.
I fit the cut out pieces back in for an inlaid flower.
Challenge is open until the 24th.

Both of these are so pretty Bonnie and you can tell Jack I think he does FABULOUS work!! I am so in love with the pink and salt crystals together...you just can't go wrong!! :0)

Both salt backgrounds are so pretty, Bonnie! It didn't occur to me to use pink for this technique, but looking at your (& Jack's) backgrounds makes me want to use pink next time. The flower die-cuts and the butterfly are so perfect for the color, too. Hideko

Such a difference between looks using salt water vs. salt. Your "let it flow" creativity sure came out creating the flowers from the salt water side. And a whole different look with the dies and salt on the others. All great looking cards! I love the pink...have been doing Christmas cards with blue wash/salt as sky background so need a change and "think pink" is it.

Both of Jack's backgrounds are beautiful, Bonnie! I bet his mom will be thrilled to receive some of his work. Isn't it fun to stamp with a child who is so enthusiastic? He's a very talented young man.

Salt created such an excellent background! I love how the color grouped in certain areas of the panel. White flowers look stunning on these pink backgrounds.
