Lilacs for Serendipity Blog Hop

Hello dear friends.

Here's a little reminder that Spring is around the corner....

Today I'm participating in the Serendipity Blog Hop.

I was lucky enough to win a gift certificate to Serendipity for commenting on
the cards for the December Blog Hop.

Mary asked me if I would like to participate in a future blog hop and I was happy to agree.

Participants in the Blog Hop are:
                        Bonnie Klass (that's me)
    Julie Warner
           Marybeth Lopez
         Mariam Napier
        Vickie Zimmer

I've admired the Serendipity stamps for a while now and was delighted to get some.

They stamp beautifully!

I used my MISTI to stamp this design, inking small sections with Distress Markers,
stamping and moving the ink around with a water brush.

The MISTI makes it possible to ink again and adding more or different colors.

I hope you'll visit others on this blog hop.  The Designers are a very talented group!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Ha. Just taken a 5 minute detour to the bottom of the garden to check how my Lilac bush is doing. Full of buds I'm pleased to say so roll on spring. This is a really pretty card and like you I find the misti is a real bonus for getting the inks in just the right places. Hugs Mrs A.

Thanks so much for joining us Bonnie! Your card is stunning! I especially love that you added some background behind the lilacs. I never think to do this and when I see it I realize how it really finishes a card beautifully! And I love that vibrant butterfly!

This one is outstanding, Bonnie! Love the water color effect on this. What a fabulous job you did with it! Funny thing, I was hunting down an old stamp and in the middle of the hunt this blog post popped up in my search since I didn't get a notification. Glad I saw it! I just love the soft water color around your image!

Congratulations Bonnie on joining the Serendipity DT for the blog hop and the Lilac is just so beautiful using the Distress Markers to ink up the stamp. What would we do without the Misti, it is so great for a technique like this. x
