It's time for a new challenge at CAS Christmas.
First, here's my card.
Christine is our host this month and she chose....
I had a piece of splash watercolor using Distress Oxide ink that I
thought would work well for a winter background.
Then I pulled out a tree from the Prancers set and a deer
from the Nature's Friends set and stamped on the
background piece. I used my MISTI so I could stamp
more than once if I needed to. Good thing I did
because I did!
After stamping, I lightly touched the images with a
damp waterbrush.
The snowbank is a torn piece of snippet with
a little shadow colored with a watercolor pencil
and a stamped the sentiment.
Finally, I sprinkled some chunky Frantage on top
of the design and heat set from underneath.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Always love a bit of Frantage and it looks so good on your wonderful card Bonnie. The background is perfect for the deer and pretty tree and thank you Bonnie for the fabulous inspiration x
Your background is beautiful and perfect for a cold winter's day, Bonnie. Love the scene with the tree, moose and falling snow. Everything looks so good on the kraft card base. Perfect masculine Christmas card. xx
Stunning masculine Christmas card, Bonnie! Your background is the perfect winter sky and I love the simplicity of the tree and deer! Great idea to frame your focal point with Kraft cardstock, too!
Bonnie, your background is perfect for your masculine Christmas card and I love that tree and the deer as your focal points, great work with the frantage snow :)
Gorgeous background for your beautiful and serene Winter Scene, Bonnie. I love all your added details...frantage snow, snowbank with snow and Kraft card base. TFS your masculine card, my friend. Hugs..
Great choice of colors for the splash watercolor background, Bonnie! I wouldn't think of using Ice Spruce for sky, but your sky proves it works perfectly. Love the Kraft card base with the white frame. The chunky Frantage snow is the perfect finishing touch too! Hideko xx
Just love your serene scene atop the kraft card, Bonnie - so beautiful and perfectly shaded!!
FABULOUS card Bonnie!! I love the scene placed on the kraft cardstock...perfect for a masculine card! And the scene you created is wonderful...love the background, tree, and deer! I'd tell you the card is lovely, but guess I can't say that for a masculine card, can I?! But anyway, it's PERFECT!! :0)
Great work on the splash watercolor background, Bonnie! Love the colours and depth you’ve achieved. The Frantage looks fabulous. A wonderful masculine scene card. xx
What a gorgeous card Bonnie - love the framed scene you have created. Did you notice the skull face looking down in the background?... near the top right.
Blessings

This was a gorgeous manly Christmas card before the snow, BonBon, but adding the dimensional snow took this to a new level!! Hugs, Dolly
Beautiful snow scene - love the splashed background and the great Frantage snow. Your deer and tree work perfectly for the masculine theme, as does the kraft border and card base.
Not only is this a masculine Christmas card, but it is beautiful as well. I love the serene feeling of peace with this card. You knocked this one out the park Bonnie! Hugs, Brenda
These 2 fab PB sets combined beautifully to create this lovely & serene winterscape. Love the frantage effect and the torn snowbank. As Brenda said, you knocked this one out of the park! Have a great week. TFS & Hugs
You used the right sentiment with this beautiful snowy scene Bonnie! A wonderful peaceful winter woods with the snow gently falling around! Julia xx
Such a "PEACEful" scene, Bonnie. Your tree looks great against that splash watercolour background! Your deer has great variations, making his profile so real. The framing gives it a sophistication I really love. Beautiful xx
This is a great winter scene. I love how you put it on craft paper. An amazing combination.
Beautiful winter card -- maybe in a few years I can see snow again!!
Sandy xx
Love this card -- captures the beauty of a winter scene being enjoyed by a regal deer as he reflects on the beauty -- at least that's my take. And once again all those "Bonnie special touches" make it a WOW.
Beautiful and peaceful. Love the dimension of your snow and the torn snowy landscape. Suitably masculine, but anyone would love this gorgeous card!
Peace is the perfect sentiment for this little scene, Bonnie.
