Twofer Guest Designing

Hello friends.  I'm so glad you could stop by today!

Today I'm honored and excited to be Guest Designing for
Twofer Card Challenge

This month's prompt is

and my Twofer

Both of my cards use the What's in Your Cup die set from Penny Black.

My glass was die cut from acetate with the mug die.

The lemonade was die cut with the same die from a piece of watercolor
and it's cut down a bit and coated with Wink of Stella
so it shimmers with the cold.

I cut the handles off to make it look more like a glass.

The lemon slice is a little punched circle colored up with markers.

Ice cubes cut from glimmer paper finish off the frosty look.

I found a piece of dirty pour canvas paper that I thought looked very tropical
for the background.

The design is popped up on a piece of foam.

For my twofer, I have a hot beverage.

I'm going with a hot cappuccino with whipped cream on top as a Christmas card.

I've die cut the mug, stamped some snowflakes with Versamark and heat embossed them.
That acted as a resist when I sponged color over the mug.

The drink mat is an oval watercolored with the same ink as the sentiment.

I added a little color to the stitched die cut by splashing color on it
and put the design on a piece of plaid decorative paper.

Since I've colored my die cut  on my second card, I'll drop this off at
I've used colored die cuts, emboss resist, sponging and stamping.

Thanks so much Darnell for inviting me to be one of your
Guest Designers this month at your Twofer Challenge.

I love this idea, Bonnie and love both cards. Not sure I'd come up with two very different cards using the same dies but you managed perfectly. These are suitable for so many occasions. Cool design and backgrounds too!

Congrats on being GD at Twofer. I love your glass of lemonade, the acetate makes for a perfect glass and great idea cutting the handle off for the tumbler. That background is very tropical love all the colours from the dirty pour :), Awesome Christmas card using the mug in a more traditional way.

Yum ... delicious, Bonnie ... both of them! The zesty frostiness of the chilled lemonade is fabulous against the tropical background ... the 'condensation' on the outside of the glass and those shimmery ice cubes make it so refreshingly tempting! Your creamy capuccino is all cosy and warm ... a hug in a mug with those festive colours and that delicious plaid panel! Thanks so much for inspiring our players as our Guest Designer at Twofer this month! Hugs, Anita :)

Love the contrast between the icy cold lemonade and the hot steamy cup of cappuccino! Great way to show how to use this die differently.

Your lemonade looks so pretty in the glass with those sparkly ice cubes. And the background is gorgeous and does look tropical!

Love the plaid background for your hot beverage ... it reminds me of a warm scarf ... perfect to wear for a cold winter's day as you enjoy your cappuccino! :) Wonderful to have you as Guest Designer at Twofer, my friend! xx

Darnell knows how to pick GD, that's for sure, and Big Congratulations on being asked! You've aced this particular challenge, and while I love both the looks, I'm really drawn to that icy glass of lemonade. Enjoyed reading the creative process, and that background is beyond awesome. The hot chocolate cuppa will be very enticing when it's cooler weather. Love the bold green plaid and the spatters too! Well done! TFS & Hugs

Hot and cold - what a great combination for a twofer! Your lemonade and ice cubes just sparkle behind your realistic-looking glass. You are so right to say that your dirty pour has a tropical vibe! I love the glittery steamy cup of cappuccino too. The plaid and watercolor backgrounds really set the stage! I love the glass of lemonade! It's so creative to use acetate for the glass and cut off the handle. Your dirty pour background looks amazing both color and texture-wise. It makes a great contrast to the lemonade!
The sponging over the mug gives it a porcelain-look. I love the pretty heat-embossed snowflakes, beautiful splash in the background, and the cool holiday plaid frame! Hideko x

So cleverly you used the matrix to create a glass with lemonade, Loll. The tropical background is perfect for her! And I love a cup of hot, refreshing cappucino served with winter wishes. What an amazing inspiration. I admire the idea of using one martian to create such different cards.

Excuse me, Bonnie, of course it's your amazing cards. I just read Loll's comment and that's how I suggested that I made such a blunder :-( I am asking for forgiveness :-)
