Big Blue Butterfly

Hello crafty friends.  I'm so glad you stopped by.

Our talented Marcia is hosting the CAS Watercolour Challenge this month.

I've stamped this big butterfly with white pigment ink on mixed media paper
and used white embossing powder to heat emboss.

Then I carefully sprinkled Brusho powders on the piece and spritzed with water
using a brush to help move the ink where I wanted it.

It doesn't show in the photo, but the top layer beneath the butterfly is dry embossed
with a Subtle Embossing folder and the sentiment is heat embossed.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Card Recipe

Ink:   Whisper White, WOW Embossing pad
Paper:   Neenah, Mixed Media
Other:  White EP (SU), Midnight Teal EP (Lindy's), Subtle EF (SU), Brushos (Cobalt, Turquoise)

Since numbers 216 and 218 just bloomed, the timing of this post's arrival couldn't be more perfect, Bonnie!
Just as gorgeous as any butterfly I've witnessed... now why don't I have this set again? xx

Beautiful, colorful butterfly. Like how its larger size stands out against the simpler backgroud. And like your technique with pigment ink and magicals powders for the butterfly. Great looking card!

I love this butterfly being the centerpiece for the card. It is so lovely with that blend of colors. I need to make more brusho cards so I can get colorful paper towels!
