Here's another angle.
In my quest for a decent 'oxidized metal' card, I thought of a NBUS jar of
embossing powder in my stash. The name of it is Verdigris. When I checked
the definition, I saw it's a word for oxidation of copper.
Sooo, I pulled out a piece of thin copper sheet and die cut it in the shape
of a maple leaf. I patted a little Wow embossing pad over the top and
heat embossed with the Verdigris powder.
I used the same technique to add some Aged Gold embossing powder and
while it was still hot, sprinkled a little more of the Verdigris.
It's hard to see the forest of trees embossed behind the leaf. I had a
devil of a time getting a decent photograph!
There's still time share a card with oxidized metal at
This technique is so good for masculine cards!
Enjoy!

What a beautiful card! Love the look of your embossed leaf on the embossed mat and the SU card stock color is gorgeous! The card has its own unique "fall" look...due to those ever wonderful Bonnie touches.
Fabulous masculine card! Love the heat embossed leaf - such a great look. I've never thought of heat embossing the copper sheet. And the subtle dry embossed background adds lots of interest.
Gorgeous card Bonnie and I love that leaf!! I have that same Verdigris embossing powder and think I've only used it once, but what a great idea to use for this challenge...think I better dig it out!! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! :0)
Fabulous verdigris finish on the copper sheet Bonnie and I adore your pretty maple leaf and the white background with the embossed trees which pops against that really gorgeous green, and love the way you have added the gold embossed sentiment at a jaunty angle. x

Wow, love this card Bonnie! That leaf is amazing looking. Never heard of this embossing powder but I am sure loving it on the copper leave! No, we can't see your trees in the background very well, but I know in person it is just beautiful. Hugs, Brenda

Your leaf is AMAZING! LOVE this embossing powder over top of the copper ... it really does look oxidized. Sprinkling a bit on top when still hot adds even more texture. The leaf looks gorgeous with the dark green texture card front and base. A real WOW! card, my friend! xx
Very pretty Bonnie!

I've had that Verdigris ep for a long time but didn't think of it for this challenge. It looks gorgeous on the copper, Bonnie. Something else I need to try.
Wow, this is fabulous, Bonnie! Your maple leaf looks like a real old copper embellishment with the verdigris effect and its dimension. The textured green card front and the dry embossed white panel are just perfect to highlight the colors and shine of the maple leaf!
