Poinsettia Joy

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

For this card, I used a purchased mask and sponged some Iced Spruce DOX
inside the mask.  I added just a hint of Picked Raspberry too.  Then I
splattered it with some diluted white gouache paint.  I love how I have nice
crisp edges that I can't seem to get with sticky notes.

I've added some frames and a little die cut, sponged and shaped poinsettia from
my stash.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Ohhh, it's pretty! You're good with those skinny frames. I'm not so good with them. It makes nice framing while keeping the CAS look. Beautiful color on the poinsettia, and the background is delicately lovely.

The rectangular masked shape is just perfect Bonnie and love the colour and the added white gouache splattered snow, and which goes beautifully with the prettily coloured poinsettia and glittery sentiment, and what a great idea to add the frames to pull everything together..so different. x

This is such a creative design! Love your poinsettia. I would never think to create a design with frame dies which I now have thanks to your inspirational cards. Love the neutral colors on the background too.

Fabulous poinsettia card, Bonnie! LOve the pretty flower and the gorgeous background! A hint of Picked Raspberry and the white gouache paint splatters definitely make the beautiful background even more beautiful and add depth. The tilted thin frames soften the rectangular layout and make the card look playful!

You are absolutely right, your edges are very sharp and beautifully lined up. White gouache beautifully diversifies your blue-gray background. Perfect for those beautiful poinsettia.
